Back in the days, when my ex-mil had called my mom inquiring about me, my mom asked her how fair her son was because I’m whiter than white bread and my ex-mil replied what does it matter, garbage men are white (we’re in the us). Looking back now, I probably would have been treated better by the garbage man.

Whenever I heard someone singing stuff like ‘mera doodh tu chitta rang’ on tv, I would wonder, are there people who would say something like this about themselves in real life.
