Hey guys, my cousin sister just received a rishta from some distant relatives. One thing I couldnt help but be sick at was the guys mothers comment : " humeh toh gori chitti larki chaayeih, aap ki ghar ki betiyoun ka rang kitna saaf hai blah blah"

I just mean to say, what is with the Desi mentality of wanting girls with “gorah rang”?? Do other factors not count at all? e.g. education? Deen? etc

Indian/Pakistani mentality is that we look at Western people as more Sophisticated and better. For us, fair skin is more beautiful and sophisticated. I have never understood how can that be true.

I am attracted to brown skin girls, I find them classy and they have a certain aura about them. I am not saying that they’re better, just I prefer them.

Maybe we are born in an insecure society that believe Fair is better..
