There's simply no such thing as fair Pakistani woman, right? Its impossible, if you see one, consider her a walking talking miracle and praise the Lord.
Some of you should consider travelling, I heard it broadens your mind!
No-one said it's not possible, did they?? Just that the majority aren't as white as the actors on tv.. Most ppl would say the average Pakistani woman has a medium brown tone.. then some are much paler and others darker..
Re: Why is everyone on Pakistani TV so fair?
because evry one wants to look fair rather then look like they do in real life…by using thick base and lights…i guess ppl here believe that being fair is beauty wich is so wrong:chai:

Not sure if they bother with it for dramas but in a lot of films they do use body makeup.. In normal light it can look a bit ashy..you see a lot of the celebs use it for red carpet events as well.. Apart from that like others have said foundation a couple of shades too light and lighting (and I don't doubt many of them bleach or 'brighten' their skintones.. hydroquinone creams, peels, laser treatments etc).. Lighting can make a lot of difference as well, strong lighting/a camera flash can make a person look a lot paler..
Even Aishwarya was a normal olive tone in her childhood, teenage and early modelling photos.. she only turned milky white when she became more successful.. (and is it me or since marriage has she toned it down a bit?)..
i really don't know how aishwarya was in her early days, was never much into bollywood but even if it is impossible to think that there are light skinned indians, i've personally come across quite a few, these are my family members from the small little villages/towns in india, they don't wear makeup, the most they wear is the ponds talc powder on their face and kajal, that's the extent of it. They are actually as white as caucasians are, with the light eyes and the fair fair skin. even if my cousin is one of the town's doctors he does not use hydroquinone or anything on his skin and has a very middle eastern look to him with his black beard.
there are the dark indians but a lot of the ones i've been around are very fair skinned too. it's true that indians come in all shades, all different features(east indians are very chinese looking with the fair skin and small eyes) south indians tend to be much darker f*or the most part*, north indians tend to be lighter but the beauty of south asia is the diversity of looks going from region to region.

I know there are light skinned Indians (can't get much paler than the Kapoor sisters), sorry if my post came across as suggesting otherwise.. I was just pointing out the majority aren't as pale as they appear on tv..
Re: Why is everyone on Pakistani TV so fair?
I grew up in karachi and if I think now most of the girls in my college, university and office were may be wheatish but more lighter than darker. Applying a little makeup would make them look more fair.
On my wedding, I guess the mua put a lot of foundation on me. It did not look bad in her studio with all those lights. When I got to the wedding hall and I looked myself in the mirror is when I realized this.
Also the pictures taken by the professional cameraman looked nice and I did not look like I have just came out of 'aata ki bori' while the ones taken by personal cameras showed otherwise. Same goes for the professional video.
Re: Why is everyone on Pakistani TV so fair?
Nadia Khan is NOT dark... She was married to someone I know through my family..and so I have seen her without makeup...she is actually much more lighter in real than she appears on screen
