Re: Why India has not Taken On Pakistan
Was watching a programme on Headline news (Indian Channel) on the current situation in Pakistan, their Major General (r) A. K. Mehta, said that it was a good oppurtunity for Indian army to take on Pakistan at a time when most of its armed forces are along the Afghan border.
Why hasn't India done that?
Possible reasons
1- India wants to live peacefully with Pakistan.
2- India is having an economic boom ad will not loose it by engaging in a war.
3- India will prefer a proxy war rather than engaging its own military.
4- India won't like to take on Pakistan for it being a US ally.
5-All of above.
Who made this guy a Major General? The moment India tries to 'take on' Pakistan, all these extremists and the armed forces fighting them will become one to counter India. Indian interference will bring unity not disunity.
