Re: Why Ibaadat brings Pride?

:cb: you know what the actual problem is with these Mulla parties.. They want to spread the religion they don’t know much about. But in innocence (thats a mild word, I can think of), they think that they are karta dharta of deen and never ready to accept any criticisim, be it poistive or not.

Re: Why Ibaadat brings Pride?

How do you know they are not educated ? And if some one doesn’t agree with you it doesn’t mean they don’t have knowledge of deen. There is a difference between pride and knowledge. But on the other hand “Gharoor knowledge ko khaa jata hai”

Re: Why Ibaadat brings Pride?

When they attribute Zaid ke bakri on Bakr ke sir, you can know how knowledgeable they are.

majority of scholars emphasise on rituals rather than addressing actual issues of the people. There was a time when our Masajids (like Masjid Nabavi) were major decision making places, but now the ulema are just behind their earnings. No one dare to talk against the real evils of society. New generation is very much demanding. They don't consider waza'if enough for spending lives. They have to face many questions when they interact people from other religions, but the limited and superficial knowledge of many ulema don't enable our youth to coup such situations.

You are right that gharoor knowledge ko kha jata hai, but I feel (you may disagree) that there is a gharoor for considering the limited knowledge as complete knowledge.

Re: Why Ibaadat brings Pride?

What exactly do they say that gives you such an impression? Can you provide some examples?

Re: Why Ibaadat brings Pride?

Ok. So this means you have better knowledge of religion than those Mullahs. Hope you have some credentials to judge Mullahs bhai sahab.

Bechaara religion has too many zaid Umer Bakar who claim being the champions and experts on. :hehe:

I am not sure what you meant by first sentence.

Anyhow I deliberately wrote the response for your first post along the same line just to make a point.

I think you meant they should say Tom, Dick and Harry so they can be considered ‘educated’. How dare they talk about Zaid and Bakr?

For the second paragrah, I do agree SOME so called mullahs may focus on only on rituals but NOT MAJORITY.

There are fake or Mullahs with very limited level of education in various remote areas of Pakistan at a small village masjid with large population being illiterate, but MAJORITY mullahs have very balanced and articulate speeches and do keep up with current affairs and discuss very intelligently these issues.

There is also a good possibility that fake mullahs do get the job of being Friday prayer ‘Khateeb’ just because no one else is available to take the job in certain areas. In that case the system does need correction.

BTW: Bhai sahab! You from Pakistan area right?

faraz ka shair yaad aata hai, from his excellent nazm ‘muhasra’:

mera qalam nahin tasbeeh uss muballigh ki
jo bandagi ka bhi har dam hisaab rakhta hai

I’m posting the whole nazm for your listening pleasure
