I met some people at young age who were proud of being their Devbandi (and not being Muslims), they were teaching young students hatred against Shia and Baralvi people. I saw arms they possessed, I observed clashes between different sects and I saw wall chalking claiming ‘Kafir Kafir Shia Kafir’. So that was my first introduction to hatred and that was linked with the connection that Alhamdolillah we belonged to a correct fiqah / sect and the Ibadat of others is useless. So its just not religious vs non-religious its also about religious people vs other religious groups.

And you know they do the same when you go to their mosques. In Pakistan people usually use their emotions instead of getting right knowledge, I told you it’s both ways , lots people are bashed by baralvis.
