Re: Why I stopped being an apologist for PTI
I appreciate your threads, but what I really want to hear an honest critical comment against PMLN. Please do me favor and write at least one post critical and not in favor of PMLN.
Re: Why I stopped being an apologist for PTI

Shah G , I know … ![]()
but Inqilab Khan not only disappointed you but millions others also including myself who wanted to see KPK as a ‘role model’ for other federating units !
Re: Why I stopped being an apologist for PTI
Sad but the opponents of Inqalab Khan have got only metros to show.
Re: Why I stopped being an apologist for PTI
Power/Energy sector performance of PML-N is poor and they are not shifting towards mega hydel dams and projects instead of cosmetic and costly solar/wind power which cant cover Pak quantum of energy gap. Instead of criticizing PML-N on GS, I used to communicate my criticism regularly almost on daily basis to personal cell phones of all Cabinet Ministers,PM special assistants, Senators and MNAs of PML-N and all other parties etc

CPEC, Bhasha, Dasu, Coal Plants, LNG Plants, IPI , Extremism, Balochsitan,Karachi etc . If only 60% of all this is implemented by 2018, it would be extremely difficult for PTI to challenge then in Elect 2018

All talk, nothing delivered...not even on track. Pti is a non issue, it has fizzled out. Pmln will not deliver even 10% of what you have mentioned by the end of their tenure. Operation in fata is being conducted by the army. Pmln was supposed to give the country its counter terrorism policy which is still missing, Baluchistan issue is more or the less similar to how PPP left it. Coal plants, lpg, nandipur, rental power projects etc are on favourable terms to the countries investing in Pakistan. The energy mix will remain expensive and hence the circular debt will remain. Nothing is being done to revamp in the electricity transmission system, without which increase in generation capacity is meaningless. The only thing which can save Pmln is CPEC but that depends upon law and order situation of pakistan and Afghanistan.

PML-N knows that if they fail to perform specially in power/energy sector , people will kick them out in 2018 like they did with PPPP, ANP and PML-Q in past

Why is it poor? Do they not have resources and power to fulfill their promises they made before 5/13/13?

On daily basis?
to all Cabinet Ministers,PM special assistants, Senators and MNAs of PML-N ?
Then you must have a lot of replies from them - Please post those so that we know how those elected officials have solved our problems?

I dont think it matters whether pmln performs or not. PPP and PMLN never achieve anything but they are still strong. Next 'baari' would be of ppp probably.

Lets not get into promises as these all are political gimmicks before every election just like eradicating corruption in 90 days in KPK or arranging LB Elections in 3 months and instead of 3 months, it held after 2 years with 36 dead bodies !
Main issue for any resource constrained economy is getting funds for mega projects. Diamer Bhasha Dam (4500MW) needs $13 bn , Dasu Dam(4350MW) requires $7 bn, similarly Kala Bagh (3600MW) needs $10 bn atleast. China not investing in Mega Hydel Projects neither any solid assurance from WB, ADB and other EU Donors. instead they are going for medium scale dams/run of the river projects like Karot (740MW), Kohala (1100MW) and Azad Pattan (650MW). Under CPEC, China is investing in Coal base Projects in Sahiwal, Thar, Port Qasim and Gwadar plus K2 and K3 Nuclear (2100MW) and Bhawalpur Solar (1000MW) and some Wind Projects in Jhimpir by UEPL ( British petroleum), Fauji Fertilizer etc. 3 LNG based Plants (3600MW) will be in national grid by 2017 end. These Plants require 3 to 5 years from feasibility to commissioning and operation. General Musharraf and PPPP not added any Mega Power Project in National Grid from 1999-2013 where demand increased exponentially and we are eating the fruits of all these Consumerism Bubble Economy of Musharraf and Corrupt to the core PPPP Govt Policies (2008-2013)
Re: Why I stopped being an apologist for PTI
If we had Diamer Bhasha of 8.1MAF and 4500MW before 2010, we could have saved $10 bn by mitigating floods (super flood of 2010 and others) plus increasing life of Tarbela Dam by 35 years through blocking sedimentation. By a thumb rule 1MAF = $2 bn and we waste 35MAF every year in Arabian Sea. No Mega Dam after 1974 in Pak , IPPPs and Thermal Power makes 70% of Energy Mix with Rs. 16/unit whereas Hydel is Rs. 1.50/unit and how can our Manufacturing Sector and Exports compete with Rs. 16/unit. Pak Agro Economy needs Tarbela like Dam after every 10 years as we have seen after Tarbela and Mangla, Pak GDP Growth almost 2 times that of India from 1960-1995 due to cheapest energy input to Industry/Agriculture. Whole political lot and military rulers after 1974 are responsible for today's miserable power/energy sector !
