To practice something blindly that you have not studied is lip service.

I find quite a contradiction in practicing vs lip service.
What a f'ing retard. He should screw himself, left Islam. Last thing Islam needs is twits like this, probly he was a arab christian or somebody like that who was'nt even born muslim but just knows a lot about it,.
I love the way that even "liberals" in the west are coming up with these kind of jacka5ses to make us all believe that we should forget our religion. Another similar character is Irshad Manji in Canada. Funny if you look a bit closer you would find she was never muslim to begin with. She was Ismaili and they reject her 2.
Islam means submission. It means no questioning. Muslims have distorted the meaning of submission. They say it means ‘submission to Allah’.
If we study Islam, we find that in fact Islam means ‘submission to the word of the Prophet’.
May be for this reason ‘learning’ and not ‘study’ suits Islam! The author is not saying anything wrong, but the problem is that Muslims are never ready for analyzed study of the religion.
Yes your right, submitting to the word of the Prophet :saw: is submitting to Allah :swt:. You may be surprised to learn God did not come down to teach us, he sent Prophets. Once Allah and his messenger have decided something for us, who are we to question?
After belief there is no disbelief, and the punishment for an apostate in islam is death.

Islam is one word and how did u put word of prophet with it to derive the meaning u just quoted above????
muslims say it means submission to Allah because it is Allah who asks us for the submission (i.e. Islam)....
but if u r happy with ur own version than keep sticking to it until Allah gives u guidance....
In early days of Islam the Prophet asked followers to offer prayers towards Jerusalem, later he asked them to change the direction of prayers towards Kabaa.
Can someone explain the reasons or it is also beyond questioning?

when you learn something, you practice it. When you study something, you just know about it. you may or may not believe in it. Islam is to practice not a mere lip-service.
Learn Islam.
Live Islam.

yep
the kaaba was built centuries before Muhammad (saw) by the order of Allah....
it is described by Allah in the Quran as the first house of worship built....
but after bani israel had been selected as 'the chosen people', the qibla for the messengers was changed to Masjid-al-Aqsa in Jerusalem....
this continued to be so till Muhammad (saw) came....
but then Allah ordered the qibla to be changed to kaaba, to distinguish the hypocrites from jew converts (as they wud not accept the change)....
the reason was political....
as Allah says that it does not matter which direction u turn ur faces to....
but Allah wants obedience from us hence we must obey....
and if u wish to stick with the trying to please jews and get their support by taking jersualem as qibla and later losing hope with them and in anger taking the qibla to mecca, then u can be happy with such useless theories....
the sacred position of mecca is mentioned even in bible and earlier sacred texts....

Could you please elaborate more?
Armughal, you want to say that in early days people used to offer prayers towards Jerusalem, and Muhammad the Prophet changed the direction towards Kaaba.
Are you not misguiding us?
The Prophet in early days of Islam asked his followers to pray towards Jerusalem, and later changed the direction to Kaaba.
Can anyone explain the reason why the Prophet changed the direction of prayers? Is there any verse in religious scriptures of Islam supporting the change of direction?

Qur'an 2:142-144
Gunguppy, Thanks for information. Let us explore it a little. East or West, for God it has no difference, but for a cult it is very important.
People of the Book; in the early days of Islam the Prophet did his best to convince the people of the book of his Prophet Hood, but was rejected. We find his anger against the People of the book for this reason in majority of the verses in Quran. The change of direction is a part of this game. Continuation worshipping towards the Jerusalem could endanger his mission. He had to create a place for his followers different to the worship place of the People of the book.
Find an islamophobe in this day in age is like looking for water in the pacific ocean. if you've decided to leave islam, good luck finding another religion. just remember that if you judge a religion by the actions of its adherents you will die a sad lonely person.
Re: Why I Left Islam …
It might be just a story no reality…
Dear Samael,
I am in a position to clarify one of your topclass problem with our prophet mohammed marrying young girls. I pray to GOd that he guide you to not misunderstand him(prophet ) in this regard of marrying young girls Ayesha and Hafza etc
I had the same problem, exactly as you have. I could not feel satisfied by reading ahadeez of Hanafees. Rather every time I was feeling more disgusting. But after a great research work of mine for my own sake. I found from all Emamies firqa the following civilized and honourable reasons for my lovely prophet explaining why did he marry them?
Please note : Before the acceptance of ISLAM, Hazrat umar and Abu bakar used to be not comfortable with the popularity of Prophet mohammed as having such a grand character; since arabs used to and still very easily indulge themselves in situation to marry young girls. Where as prophet has married khateja when she was 40 and prophet was at his peck of SHBAB ge 23-27 years
And since they were jealous with his popularity and his followers. They could never believe then( before they accepted islam) that a man can be of this height of character. Both of them said if prophet would come across a pretty girl TU ZAROOR CHEHR CHAR kare ga.
Hazrat abu Bakar said I have a very pretty girl and hazrat umar said I too have a very pretty girl. They said if prophet would see them he would do something and -----and we would geather people and annonce then about his CHehr chahr to their daughters and prophet would be BATNAM THEN.
So they both brought their daughters and knocked the door of prophet and said please take care of them for a few minutes we have suddenly thought of a big work and we have to rush and these are young girls would not be able to walk so fast. So prophet took care of them. Wahee revealed that when they come ask them the hands of their girls to marry. So when both of them returned back with a number of more people bearing in confidence that prophet would not be able to bear their beauty. When their father with their friends came prophet mohammed asked the hands of their girls. And all the planning to BADNAM HIM HAD FAILED. As both of them were too happy to having developing the relation with a person like prophet mohammed , most honourable and respectabe man of arabs.. This was the story why did he -prophet marry young girls, when he was 53 after the death of khateja.
Do not forget that this relation with them helped him to spread islam in both hazrat umar and hazrat abu Bakar's qabellas.
Also if he was the man of todays arabic people nature he would have married before the death of khateja. Also he used to play and become horse cart for Ayesha, so young was she, and he never had any child with any of the two youngest wives. It is an important point to note about prophet that he had not married them for shahwat at all.
So kindly do not think our prophet was the kind as sunni books potrait him regarding---these two wives at the age of 53. bye sokoon
Im sure you can provide us some references or evidence for such wild and ludicrous accusations against two of the greatest companions.
Your made up story is laughable, read the bold part, you say before they accepted Islam, but its common knowledge that they accepted Islam in Mecca and were amongst the early converts whilst their daughters marriage to the Prophet :saw: took place at Madinah.
I doubt even the Shia books will contain such a story.

Nice bit of fiction there. You've got quite an imagination.
Sokoon, next time please come up with something better. Make sure to provide some authentic references to back your claim. Though, its not important for some facts and events that are known and obvious but when you enter a debate, be prepared to backup your arguments.
p.s: I am not removing this post incase you plan to bring the references or answer the crtiticisms.
I don't think even sokoon understands her own posts. God knows no one on this board does.
