Its dangerous,very naive and quite frankly useless to just pick out a sentence long Hadith and see how it fits with the modern social standards. You do know the hadiths in proper authentic hadith books come with pages and pages long context, explanation, and implication from time of Prophet Muhammad pbuh to further interpretation of modern schoars. You are better off consulting a scholar or reading a authentic book yourself, instead of asking for explanation here.

Exactly. It’s like Saudis removing the verses of Burda from Masjid-e-Nabwi’s walls and calling it *shirk and haram *purely because they misunderstood the poetry, or didn’t understand it at all.

I see no difference between Saudi zealots and some modernists. They’re too shallow and take everything literally.
