its stupid really, I mean i think its fun for party ppl to dress up and go to halloween parties. and for kids to dress up for fun, the whole candy business is a lil strange.
u have ppl taking their kids to strangers homes to get candy, or some kids just out on their own.
are people really comfortable with their kids taking candies from strangers? yeah yeah yeah so they say they inspect the candy..as if it is going to stop some sicko from injecting crap in it if he really wanted.
now, the second question is about the parents, i think going to the houses of ppl u know is fine, but just cuz i am a block down from u dunn mean u can just show up, only to be seen next halloween.
u think i eat the crap like twix, kitkat, m&ms that we hand out to the kids? they may like that shyte but I have slightly different choices in chocolate mon ami
nope kids want crap, crap they get, butterfinger, 3 musketeers, etc etc.
but what about ppl who are not even from the area... i mean i am not being a prick here, but why would u go to other areas to go rick or treating. and especially letting your kids just go.
I mean are ppl not concerned aboyut their kids safety on one hand and just going to complete strangers homes ..this is like not even ppl from my subdivision or general area.
its not that i think I am just having a hard time explaining..
i just find it strange that parents would take their kids to the homs of ppl they dont even know or even in different areas for trick or treating.
i just dont get the logic, dressing up is fine, trick or treatign is fine, but shouldnt it be limited to friends and neighbours, it seems odd to me that ppl from the next zipcode as in front of my house.
i also think there are potential safety issues, we had 2 kids 10-11 years old on their own, not from our neighbourhood.. do teh parents know where the kids are, or whose house they are at..or in?
and can u be 100% sure about what strangers are giving your kids?

and all for what? crappy cheap candy?
it just seems odd
Oh i get it..it is weird if there r kids not rom your neighborhood...we had that issue last year when there was like some vans full of kids which I assume were underprivelged show up in the neighborhood for candy..I guess I think it shouldnt be a problem ..
This years wasnt like that...but as far as the crappy candy goes...I dont let them eat that junk any way...its the experience not that candy eating marathon and dealing with sugar high kids afterwards:)
In our neighborhood there were groups that always have adults present with them...and again that is a safety issue that parents have to be careful and set limits with.
Rest...its just fun for the kids...we have some neighbors that give maybe popcorn instead of candies ...some even had like carrot stick packs...anyway one should not let the kids eat em all:)...
ive never fully understood the concept of going to others houses and colecting candy. instead of treat what if the person chooses to trick you. what do you do
The trick is the best option…I did say to some of the kids when they were trick or treat..I was like TRICK:D…they had confuzzled look and ran away:cb:..I say Stay away fraam us desis:D
