Re: WHY girls work?
Like manipulating the hubby with fine print?
Re: WHY girls work?
Impluse dont go to school :D you will be wasting over 50 or 100k for making chapaties at home :D
Why do i want to work- I want to be independent. I dont like to ask anyone even my dad or my hubby for money. I want my hubby to share kitchen work with me and so as diapers for the kids. It goes the same way Inshallah house downpayment would be split half and half. 2 people are in it together. This world is so cruel you dont know when and where someone will leave you in middle of no where. A girl should have a strong education and career.
When you work it makes you strong. it makes you state your opinion out. I dont want to be one of those women who call their friends all day long and say bad stuff about in laws. I like to meet people get to know their culture and learn from them.
May be at one point during pregnancy i wont work but when kids grow up a little i will again.
I dont think my life should be lived between 4 walls. I feel like a bird i want to achieve amazing levels. I want to be voice for those who dont have voice. I want to help our paki women to stand up for her self. I want to achieve a very high post and show this damn world that a muslim hijabi girl can do a lot. I want to be hope for those who dont have hope. I know for fact i wasnt only born to sit home and make rotiyan and pop out kids.......
I know i can give a lot back to society and inshallah i will :) - working towards it....
A girl is always known by someone else's name for example : nia is so and so's daughter. nia is so and so's wife or so and so's sister. i dont want that. i want people to say This is what nia khan is...... she has done ...... etc in her life :~)
Re: WHY girls work?
yea they also learn to curse at the age of 3. They tend to show signs of aggressions very early on. A day care cant possibly teach them Islamic mannerism etc.
Re: WHY girls work?
^ islamic mannerisms…
thanks for reminding me how muslims are a different species.
Re: WHY girls work?
I enjoy what I do...
Unbelievable, isn't it?
Re: WHY girls work?
we are lol
Re: WHY girls work?
what do u do?
Re: WHY girls work?
there are better schools, there are better teachers, and its all about what you teach and how you treat your kids. a child is not gonna learn bad words or be agressive if he/she has a solid Moral/loving support at home.
they gonna learn them from TV ![]()
Re: WHY girls work?
angel eyes - balance is the key word here.... day care as pinstripe mentioned gives child tons of things. Islamic teachings and manners come from home. If you have a balanced envionment for your child they will learn difference between right and wrong.
The point is to show them right and wrong. If you show them right right and right guess what when they turn wrong way they wont know it that its a one way traffic.
Re: WHY girls work?
but they wont if one of the parents arent there to teach it to them…it’s very difficult to spend time with ur child and teach them things when both parents are focused on making money. I have seen first hand how most kids..not all (im not) end up being screwed up cuz parents are so into their careers. They dont even know half the things their kids are doing.
Re: WHY girls work?
I have a chapati making factory in Ceylon. ![]()
Re: WHY girls work?
of course there has to be balance between work and family.
Re: WHY girls work?
like i said…you cant if both parents are focused on careers…that was my point. i didnt say that you cant learn these things from home…i only said u cant if both parents are working full time.
Re: WHY girls work?
PCG May i have some chapati, so that i can fed ex it to angel eyes.![]()
Re: WHY girls work?
AE: you are planning to keep your kids in the bubble of islamic mannerism..whatever that is. It’s a big bad world out there.. BOO!!! Make sure you home school the kids, lock them up in the attic and ensure they onloy have muslim friends. And as for girls…make sure ambition and achievement takes a back seat to being a good little cook. :k:
Re: WHY girls work?
Re: WHY girls work?
sure…but it depends on what kind of work…if ur a lawyer or a doc…its difficult to be there for ur kids. \
Most of the parents that I know…if the parents are both professionals…their kids have a nanny that raises them.
Re: WHY girls work?
did i say that ![]()
Re: WHY girls work?
Where there is a will there is a way. Husband and wife can work together to arrange their schedules such that there is someone with the kids all the time.
You can take time off before the kids are in schooling age. And then return to your career later.
You can also take them with you to work, or do some work from your home part of the time.
Leaving the kids with daddy for a few hours in the day will not kill your children.
Re: WHY girls work?
i’ll tell you a short story,
my boss works very hard, we use to work 7 days a week. but since his daughter is born, he takes his weekends off and spends them with her. of course there is still a lot of work to do, but he has dedicated his weekends to his family and no one can even call him about work.
even if you are a professional you can still manage your personal and professional life.
