I support Irem's statement...

...and FF .. I am taking a positive step by choosing not to get married. your idea that it is a negative step .. is incorrect..

One has a choice to do .. or not do ..

But if i take your like of argument.. For me marraige is a negative step..

BlackZero negative or positive all depends upon the reasons for which you choose to live single. What I meant was that I would not focus on the negative aspects of marraiges and sit back, I would rather do the opposite.
If bad marraiges around you are the reason why you choose not to marry, it reflects on your lack of confidence and inability to make things work out for you. Anyone with such an approach towards life is better off unmarried. Lack of confidence and rigidity is exactly what it takes for a marraige to go bad. The first two reasons sound a bit better.

the basic point of my post was..
that what is right for you .. may not be right for me

what is a positive step for me.. you may consider a negative step..

but in reality its all about choice ..

thank you for appreciating my views… support means support, moral, financial, physical, psychological, and emaotional. Think about it..if you still not get it than you are dumb..:crying:

Your views are a true reflection of the insecure females being discussed in another thread who rely on marraige to get anywhere in life. Financial support is probably the last reason an educated, independent woman would get married for. Physical support??? What are you disabled or something? Emotional and moral support? Sane people never marry for these particular purposes. If one needs emotional or moral support one wouldn't get up and marry someone for it, there are many other sources for that too. All the reasons you mention are the last reasons anyone should get married for.

p.s. Your statement sounded way too dumb so I thought I would give you the benefit of doubt and double check with you. I guess I was right afterall.

On average married men live 10 years longer than unmarried men. I heard it on radio.

Dani you are crazy .....!

dekho har insaan kay apnay khiallat hotay hain..Marriage in Islam is a Sunat not a farz..I know so many gals who back off form marraige cuz of many reason..that there is a lot of risk involved and there are scared of it..laiken mai aisee larkioon ko jantaa hon jo shruu say hee shadee kee dewani hoteen hain and the only thing on thier mind is to get a good rishta and all

but the crux is Marraige is a socail instiution, not a Farz which we are obligated to. People have problems , issues. Some choose to marry..some dont..

Bai Nokar …Kitni Larkiyoun ko jantay ho…:nono4: dunda tuo nahi kertay..
