I do not understand the logioc behind it. They are fighting for religious causes(Religious extremists/terrorists) but they target holy places to unleash their terror. It has happened in pakistan,Iran,India,S.L and many other places…
because they have their own agendas and have nothing to do with religious cause. Do you think someone fighting for Islamic cause can blow up mosque? someone fighting for Hindu cause can blow up temple?

What do they gain out of it?
1) Different sects & ideologies are colliding, the debate of "i am better Muslim & defender of faith" give moral boost to took arms and fight.
2) world & regional powers have their own agendas of either destabilizing the countries & securing trade routes. To achieve this they use proxies (militant organizations) fund & equip them, provide justification by religious text.
Examples are: RSS, Al-Qaeda, Gay-Taliban's, MSS in Bihar & Indian Green Revolution in Indian-Punjab.
extremist/terrorists do not kill people because they hate them. They simply kill to spread terror and attract attention. Attacking holy places is an effective attention grabber.

But what is the mileage they are getting ?O.K I agree, they have an agenda but how do they accomplish by targeting shrines? Are thy not alienating themselves? Do not you think they know it clearly?

There are 3 things things that motivates people (actually blind-fold them) to do good, bad and ugly things
1) Religion
2) Politics
3) Ethnic lines
out of these 3 religion is the most easy to play with and being jahil only make it easy for manipulators. People only realize this once they take a break and see the storm from outside. For people within the storm, manipulators never let them think hence there is no risk of getting alienated that quickly.
btw, sooner or later people DO realize but only after paying heavy price.

THIS tells there is some hidden agenda.
I totally hate it when anyone links these maniacs to religion. True essence of any religion would keep you from the tiny evils, let alone a massacre.

Hope you meant MCC
I was extremely sad and shocked at Ajmir Durga attack...

well yes. you take an uneducated child or young man with no livelihood no future, give his family some money and he'll do anything for his family.....yes even blow up.
now turn this around to political parties (not that TTP isn't one), but "legit" ones for example MQM or ANP, in Karachi, you'll find members of these parties ready to kidnap, rape and kill the other. so is that brainwashing? yes... at the end of the day it's all about $.

Main aim is to ....Get rid ....deliver a message to people .... revenge against those people...who do not follow your kind of religion.....
Alienation from whom???
If wahabis attack any sufi shrine, they do not get alienated among wahabis or wahabi backed countries....
Wahabis do not believe in this kind of islam....so they dont mind getting rid or sending a message to sufi muslims...
or Sunnis dont mind sending this message to Qadianis....
These organizations exist and function, as these are funded by powerful religious tanzeems/ governments.
Fidayeen killings of hindu devotees in raghunath temple or akshardham temple is an act of revenge and send a message to kaffirs..."we can kill you in your own religious places"
