Why Ehasan Bhai Resigned ?

Link

Ehsan bhai hasn’t posted since the 15/16th I believe.

7 Mods left? Well, there were at least 200 or so Mods before these 7, and there will continue to be many many more. I wonder if Thap is implying that those who haven’t left have no morals. Is that what you are implying Thap?

I used to be Mod too, but I didnt have ego thing going wtih me like Thap. Congratulatins Thap.

:jhanda:

Matsui rules!

Is this another BS to side track the main issue? there never been 200 mods before those, so stop your work here.
:jhanda: read it without j as you sarcastically using this Pakistani Flag smiley for other so is for you one as well.

I really don't think the argument should have revolved around one person or religion per se. It's a result of number of issues which have culminated over the past many months if not years. Lack of leadership, when it came to enforcing the policies, is a single contributing factor in my opinion.

There had been almost uncountable number of discussions in the moderator section over similar issues. Often at times few of us felt that there's a flagrant break down of discipline when it came to applying rules over certain principles and towards certain individuals, but it was never due to the lack of communication. We always had very open, blunt and frank discussions. I think most of the time it was weakness on behalf of certain admin members whether it was their personal admiration of certain members, or a mere fact that their sanctimonious decisions could lead to the decline in popularity of this board, which were petty in my opinion and poor in judgement considering the fact that when you are running such a huge entity where personal differences, ires and brawls are given. You really have to make a strong effort to keep a bigger and long term picture in mind where neither few individuals could ever make you popular or bring you down in any way. The site should be never at the mercy of few, but it should be the other way around. This kind of confidence and leadership has always been missing I think.

This is clearly my assertion, and the way I have experienced things as a moderator. As I said it was never miscommunication, or there were never any personal grudges. There were strong personalities in two different cliques, and it should never have happened in a team environment. 'If' Ehsan has resigned, I believe that I would have done the same thing if I were to be in his shoes. Similar reasons lead to the break-down of team few months ago. Forced resignation of Mursalin was just the final nail in the coffin. But, of course the reasons go back a lot deeper and further than that, as I have pointed out. I felt that we were at a brink where who was going to fire the first shot, and it was just the nature of circumstances which compelled us to make a graceful exit. It has never been about one person, or few individuals. In fact, I don't support life-time bans unless under extreme circumstances, for the very reason that this site is all about people, and if people can't live up to the standards that's expected of them, then at the end of the day, they are just losing respect for themselves if nothing else.

Therefore, all along we stood up for principles, and a lot of us strongly felt the need of having a universal approach when it comes to upholding the values mentioned in our core policy statements. I think it's unnecessary to turn this into a personal mud-slinging match. I still give all the admin due respect and credit for their utmost dedication in running this site which itself is a mammoth task in many ways. But, it's time to infuse the leadership that has the confidence to run this board professionally when it comes to rules and regulations, moving beyond personal preferences, so the sanctity of the system does not break down, as it has now and in the past. After the last one here, I told myself that that would be the last time to indulge in such a discussion. But, this time I am here to give a sincere advice as a good friend. And also to all the members to bury their personal animus for once and move on..

Excellent advice Outy. Are you suggesting that Modship should be for life? Do you know what leadership means? Your MAToos (a term that was introduced in your absence) here are showing what lack of it means. 4 idiots dancing like someone stole their banana. Leadership means to ignore the little minds and carry on, and that’s exactly what Saba is doing.

Makhan…get lost. With 400 posts it is not possible to know 200 mods. :jhanda:

madhanee, it goes both ways. As I said, I am not too concerned about who comes in the line of fire, but you better stick to your decision once it's made, and have a mutual consensus on these issues to earn the confidence of your team-mates, and to move the whole team along with you.

To be honest, this has been discussed many many times before and it seems like a never ending spiral, what's the magic fuking solution..that I don't know..or I don't care anymore..

With a date of regiter in 1970, yes it is possible, so you can get lost now, and with your idiotic theories no need to prove the world that the number of posts matters to know about number of mods.
thanks :danda:

  • u said it kaptaan :k: but u won’t see this change as these 2 heavenly creatures won’t be kicked out. they r above the rules on gs and they can do as they please. *

hahahaha

and yet you still don't see the irony.

:rotfl:

Since a former mod is saying that Mursalin was forced to resign and no Admin seems to clarify on this. I will take that to be true.

I didn't even know that Sentinel left.

Will wait and see if Ehsan would come.

OK people I have heard that Saba is thinking of leaving GS or is being forced to resign. Please note that this may not be true, but if it is then I would like to take this opportunity to say goodby to NYA and Chutiahai along with Saba.

The sentinel issue was another aspect of the beauty of the psyche of a pakistani. He said he was thinking of resigning due to Matsui. He was extremely upset of the threads and posts he would post in religion. He stated he would resign if nothing happened on the issue. Since he was thinking about it, someone thought it would be best if they decided for him. So without warning his moderatorship was removed and he could not get back into the mod forum. So much for respect for your fellow mods.

Basically it was an issue of him a mod or matsui. The decision was made and he was kicked out.

Hiccup, sweety then enlighten me on the irony of the situation.

ashtray, relax chanda. I'm too busy :D

Sabah, shukar hae tum nahi gayee :nuch: You know I have been crying since I heard about you leaving :teary1:

Wadah karo tum mujhay choR kay kabhi nahi jao gi.

Saba baji, as soon as you have time can you please make either Matsui or me the next mod of KK.

It would be nice to have a non Musilm mod. Even though I am putting my name forward, I strongly recommend Matsui bhaijan.

I know you might say that you already have have non-Muslim mods (Ahmadis), but that does not count on the basis that they have a Pakistani background.

I look forward to some good news - especially after the way the Indian team has batted this morning!!

If no Admin is clarifying, how does it make anything true or false?
I'm actually have a great time watching some of the logic that is being used to promote things in this thread.

Why do you think no Admin is participating?

;)
