I dont drink because
It doesnt appeal me at all.
I hate its smell.
I dont want to loose my senses and be stupid.
Even if it was allowed in Islam, I wouldnt drink!

nobody is suggesting a forced ban. the question posed is a very personal one and people are giving personal reasons.
since I have seen, first-hand, people suffer from the carelessness of a drunk-driver, I believe that it's reason enough not to drink.
what about that equates to your extremist solutions? you may know it all, but you sure don't know how to balance it all.
