Why don't Muslims protest against ISIS?

The rest of the world needs to know that Muslims are not in agreement with ISIS. Many people seem to put ISIS and Muslims in the same group.

The majority of Muslims are against ISIS, the biggest victims of this groups are Muslims themselves. How else does the west want Muslims to protest now?

I don't remember seeing Christians protesting against KKK, against Nazis, against genocide of Muslims in various countries around the globe, I don't see any protests against Zionists acts in Palestine, I don't see any protests against extremist Hindus in India. I don't give a dead rat's behind if idiots around the world are looking for Muslims protesting/apologizing for ISIS acts.

They blame Islam and Muslims. I overheard a couple people talking and they blame the religion and that ignorance causes them to blame all Muslims for these atrocious acts. They even said that yeah it was good to see the Muslims in our city speaking out and protesting against ISIS. If Muslims could voice their opinions on a grand scale against ISIS and terrorist acts by them, then the world would listen. Speak up!! Because people are grouping the two together..

If you put someone in an air tight double glazed glass room and he is shouting you will not be able to hear him when he says he wants to come out. Someone comes by looks at him but does not help him out. That passerby is asked "why didn't you let him out?" the passerby responds ... "Well why didn't he say that he wants to come out" ...

Communication requires both the sender and RECEIVER to be switched on.

Why is this logic not applied when Muslims come out in thousands and protest drawings made by unknown 'artists' in obscure magazines?

Generalisations are bad, at the moment the west is painting all Muslims with the same brush.

May be a good part of Muslims is not protesting because it is being funded in part by some Muslim countries? The fight originated among Muslims (Assad vs Arab Spring) which helped seed/fund ISIS.

Muslims do protest against Isis, but the nature of protests against Isis has been different from the protests against cartoons. Protests against cartoons turn violent and grab world attention. Whereas protests against Isis have probably been more peaceful. Not suggesting that protests against isis become violent, but rather protests against cartoons need to become rational and peaceful. This way atleast we can compare apples vs apples.
And yes it would certainly help if the scale of protests against Isis was larger too.

The expectations of those observing and commenting on us are different too. Muslims were expected NOT to protests against the cartoons, as we are told it should have been no big deal.

Muslims are expected to protest against ISIS, as this is construed as being an acceptable form of public, collective penance.

Well, being at work from 4 am to 5pm and then coming home, doing laundry, fixing meal and then studying for exam, I get pretty tired. And on weekends I decompress and watch tv, spend time with family, take pictures of flowers etc and other BS hobbies ... so excuse me if I don't have time to stand at a street corner and protest against ISIS with a poster in my hand.

But as Monk put it, every cell in my body hurts by their atrocities

I forget who said this. The lady said - it is sad we have to say something obvious to show to the rest of the world we are against ISIS. Of course we are. It should be obvious.

Interestingly I don't see Christian groups apologizing for recent attacks on planned parenthood. Some even call the attacker a hero.

Well we should. Along side anti war and anti islamophobia protests.. It would show where we stand... Most people are simply unaware.

But its tricky as i dont think the media would cover it as say an anti cartoon protest... However we have social media.,. Which can be just as powerful.

Christians dont need to apologize to themselves. They already know that guy doesnt represent them. Its the outsider's they dont trust. Its those guys that need to prove their loyalties... Thats how it always goes down.

Oh...so only Christians in non-Christian lands have to explain themselves. and prove loyalty....because you know...there may be the next Hitler somewhere among them....
