Allah did not sanction this “right” on men to fulfill a horny toad’s sexual appetite. It is actually for the protection of women who would otherwise be left with no one to care for them (i.e. widows or orphans). It is not for a man to marry any beautiful girl he sees, cause he cant keep it in his pants! Marriage is not all about sex and nothing else. There is a great responsibility that comes with marrying one woman, and even greater responsibility with marrying 2, or 3, or 4.

Imagine one wife wants a Chanel Purse, if he buys it for her, he will have to buy one for all the other wives as well! Do you think a man has the money lying around to manage more than one household (doing it equally), paying all the bills, paying for all the children that have come out of those relationships, and getting each wife a Chanel purse? I think not!

Most Muslim men dont practice plygamy because they know they cannot fulfil their obligations. Im pretty sure all the guys on here who are married will attest to how hard it is to keep one wife happy, and all her needs fulfilled!

Its a matter of responsibility and giving equal love and attention. Imagine trying to equally love all 4 wives, and when I mean love I mean emotional affection , not just physical! Men have trouble satisfying just one wife emotionally, so imagine trying to satisfy 4!
