Hello ladies,
I LOVE green tea and have a whole box of tea bags but whenever I make the tea, it turns really bad! It’s also always brown in color and not green. Is it the quality of the green tea I got that’s bad or the method? I just boil a cup of water with some sugar and put the tea bag in. Add some lemon juice when serving.
I’ve also tried adding some ilaichi and saunf to enhance the flavor but it still tasted bad. What am I doing wrong?
also tell me how to choose the right green tea!!! THANK YOU!
What do you mean ladies????????????
I make best green tea ever.
You make it in english tea fashion.
Thats what you do boil water, little less then bubbling.
pour it in cup, put few green tea leaves in it.
Cover the cup so steam stay in for like 2-3 mins.
IF you find it light put more leaves in.
You are using tea bags so leave te bag in for probably 1-2 mins. Don't for get to cove your cup.
Make 2 cups please. Now I feel like having one cup too.

Well, I used your method and the tea turned out much better. I'm liking it! :) I guess now what I need to do next is to go out and buy green tea leaves...I wanna see if my tea will taste better that way. Can you please tell me which brand you use?
I started drinking it recently and I got Ahmad's green tea from the Indian store.. supposedly from England. My first reaction was, this isn't green, it's brown! and then someone told me that's how green tea looks. It tastes okay.. I don't add sugar to it.. so it's always slightly bitter.. it actually tastes just like regular tea with milk without any sugar in it.

Mine also tastes 'okay'....I have had better greentea at restaurants n other places. I really think I should try other brands.
If you want to experiment with the green tea brands, there are a whole bunch of asian stores on Argyle Street (also called new china town, old one is past the downtown area i think). I have done shopping at Argyle st grocery stores and that area is basically an Asian Devon.
