for starters you nvr boil the water for green tea. It just needs to be hot and to the brink of boiling.

The taste also depends on what brand you are using. Try different brands and see which one you enjoy more. :)

I use the green tea leaves…i make it the desi way too lol put water in a saucepan add green tea leaves n cardamom.. let it boil, once its boiled add sum more cold water to it n let it boil again…then serve …tastes great…and yeh it does depend on the type of tea ur using, itz best to use the open green tea leaves rather the tea bagz, u get more of the taste! mine is usually a brown’ish colour i like it strong so i add alot of the leaves also i let it boil for longer too hence the dark colour. :rotato:

I use 'Tadin' brand...I got it from an Asian store which had many varieties. I didn't know which to buy so I just picked up this one. Well, I'm gonna try to find the ones mentioned by other posters in this thread.

CA, www.republicoftea.com teas aren’t available in stores. but go visit the site, tea aficionados swear by it. this morning, a friend was telling me abt Adagio.com too.. i think i’ll try their teas next.

Green tea is actually light brown when brewed. The tea leaves are sort of greenish--which is where it gets its name. Everyone is right--don't boil the tea desi style. Boil the water, let it sit a few minutes. Pour into cup and dunk the tea bag in there for 2 minutes tops. I really like Jasmine Green Tea--it smells divine.

I like green tea with jasmeen flavor:)
But gays be carefull6 because there are too much nikotin in green tea & green tea makes blood pressure so low. But green tea is very nice for skin & makes slim.
(sorry for my english, i'm triying improve this language):(

ok now the traditional chinese method of kali billi

water temperature is the key my child:halo:
water shud not be boiling i.e 100 degrees it shud be around 70 to 75 degrees meaning it shud not be bubbling a lil colder
and always add tea if u use loose tea or tea bag after u turn the flame off never boil the tea with water.
and leave the tea or tea bag in for sum time like 1-2 minutes not more then that and color of tea shud be very light green or light yellow darker than that and ur tea is ruined.

and always cover the pot ur brewing ur tea in

and 1 last thing never add sugar in green tea!!!

and try using loose tea cuz tea bags r bitter i dont know y tea gets bitter even if u put them in for 30 secs

but its better to check the check the color not the time

Twinings and Ahmed Tea both are really good. I get these two alternatively.
