Sarkar I think you got a bit carried away. I never compare science with religion. There is no good reason to do so. Just because some scientific facts or phenomenon are refered to in the Quran does not mean Quran is a book of science. This is what uneducated mullahs do not emphasize and people follow ridiculous statements en masse about Quran as the book of everything that there can be. Sir you should give some thought about it yourself. Its OK to criticize the jahil mullahs, even I do, but that does not change my perception of reality.
And ahadith are not scientific literature. So again someone who draws such a parallel needs serious education. And one who forms opinions based on such arguments need even more education.
A reason why a select few scientific phenomenon are mentioned in the Quran is only to attest its veracity and micraculous nature. The things mentioned in it could not have been known 1400 years ago. Infact a person who has some good scientific educational background should be astonished how could these things have been mentioned 1400 years ago. Obviously such knowledge could have only flowed from some higher intervention and human knowledge was not advanced enough to deduce such things. And this is all that it is.

I won't worry too much if science contradict with Islam. When my father was in grade six they were told that "Atom is smallest unit of universe and it "Can't" be further broken down" I hope you have heard about Atom bomb which is made by breaking atom.

nope.. i am not a religious person...but i know that religion is far far superior than science..science cannot evn explain the miracles of great aulia...how can its explain the maujzat of the prophets...

can science explain the shaq-ul-qamar...miraj shareef...etc etc...Science is not be blindly applied toe evry matter...can science prooves ..taht Allah exists...paradise and hell exists..while some people on earth daily see heaven and hell in front of them...and talk with Syed Ali hajveri...Moeen ud Din chisti...etc in barzaq...and even with prophet(pbuh)...what the science has to do with all that !!!!!!!!!!

Science is not the study of God. So there should be no comparisons between science and religion. Two different things with two different goals.

not really... science in the broadest terms refers to gaining knowledge about almost every single topic u can think of .. therefore religious knowledge could be termed a type of "science" as well..... ya?

No, science is much more constrained than that. Economics is not science. The Social Sciences barely qualify. Even Computer Science is more a field of Mathematics (which is not science).
It's a complicated topic, but it should be known that science is not synonymous with the methodological study of any subject. This may be a common use of the term, but it is a misuse.

LOL...the dictionary is wrong. Or, alternatively, when scientists use the word 'science', they do not mean it in the layman's sense.
Dude, I was forced through a philosophy of science course...when you have a very well published physicist railing against the misuse of the term 'science', promising to fail any student who uses it as laymen would...you learn to internalize that fact.
When scientists practice science...they're doing something very specific...and it's not merely studying their field in a systemic way.
There are entire books written on the subject; suffice it to say any of those definitions you provided are absolutely wretched with respect to what scientists actually do.
There's a world of difference between any hard science, and what economists or accountants do. Or English students, for that matter.
