not five months ppl know the sex of their child by 3rd 4th month & ppl have the option of choosing the sex of their child so those ones know before they even concieve.

Your comment is debatable with presumption of infinite knowledge of God. Your comment holds true for the believer but meaningless for a non believer. Let me expand it a little more by saying, all you have is a scipture which says that God knows, how do "you" know it's true. Your comment was faith dependent.

Francis Bacon, the famous philosopher, has rightly said that a little knowledge of science makes man an atheist, but an in-depth study of science makes him a believer in God. Scientists today are eliminating models of God, but they are not eliminating God. If you translate this into Arabic, it is La illaha illal la, There is no god, (god with a small ‘g’ that is fake god) but God (with a capital ‘G’).

Surah Fussilat:

“Soon We will show them our signs in the (farthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?”

[Al-Quran 41:53]

I don’t understant one thing, Psyah! Why should Quran or Hadiths, as the one you narrated, talk ambiguously to leave the need for ijtihad if the aim is the clear guidence of the people?

Secondly, Hadith is not the original source of theological inference or guidence. Quran has unequovcally mentioned iftar.

Thirdly, it is the same attitude as of clergy during Reniasance in Europe when they first resisted science, but when science became the predominent way of inquiry, they started claiming that what science says is already there in the Bible.

If what science has discovered or will discover is already there in Quran, then any Mullah Tullah should tell me from Quran right now what science has to discover in future.

In fact, religion doesn’t answer the fundamental question..rather it reduces it to a yet a higher level of abstraction i.e. “God”, “Allah”, or “Khuda”, etc.

At a certain point you need to use some common sense as well. Quran does ask us to do the impossible.

Firstly, guidance is never absolute. It wouldn’t be guidance if it were absolute. It would be an order or command. Such as praying is a command but not simply guidance.

Secondly, hadith is the second source of inference. This is where a little common sense would help. Could you fast and live to break an iftar if things were the way you said had we been in a place where the sun doesn’t rise for months. Its simply telling fasting is for the duration of dawn to dusk. Br. Psyah also mentioned a hadith where such a question arised and was simply given an answer based on simple common sense. Nothing to fuss about.

Thirdly, science and religion have different purposes. Most of clergy today are not about religion or understanding Allah SWT world but about power and control. I have never felt threatened by science. Can;t understand why I should be when it helps me live better. Its just the unmoralistic use of it that becomes subject to religious scrutiny and that is to preserve the moral fabric of a society.

The problem today is that those who are awarded the roles of clergy are not educated in anything else except religion and thus have a hard time coming to terms with those educated people who study religion and differ from them.

Quran is not a book of sciences or fortune telling in a broad sense. Its a guidance to salvation for humans. Actually I have been Khutbas where the Imam has gone to the extent of saying “Oh if you want to learn any science go to the Quran, you want to know about space, no need to goto NASA but read the Quran … blah blah blah”. This is where religiously misguided people take reverence to extremely ridiculous proportions.

Quran gave you the answer that no matter what you do or study inevitably you will lead to. It also told us that since we have a limited comprehension sooner or later you will run out of answers, so better not go down that path, just be quiet and believe that Allah SWT exists and controls all. Ofcourse everything has a systemic method of working and sciences study that and learn how to use or abuse it.

Ofcourse anybody can tell the gender of baby when its born, and nowadays, even a few months before its born, but I think Allah is refering to the absolute knowledge of the gender, like even before fertilization.

If anything contradicts sciece..its means science has not yet reached at that level to explain this scientific phenomena....quran is above everything...science can be wrong....but quran can never ever..as its the same as its revealed on prophet(pbuh) ...not even a dot . is missing...so..its protector is Allah...and many phenomenons which science explains in recent 50 60 years were explained by quran 1400 years ago....

so when science further improves..it may furthet prooves contradictions...but we acnnot even think that quran can be wrong...totally impossible...

nope.. i am not a religious person...but i know that religion is far far superior than science..science cannot evn explain the miracles of great aulia...how can its explain the maujzat of the prophets...

can science explain the shaq-ul-qamar...miraj shareef...etc etc...Science is not be blindly applied toe evry matter...can science prooves ..taht Allah exists...paradise and hell exists..while some people on earth daily see heaven and hell in front of them...and talk with Syed Ali hajveri...Moeen ud Din chisti...etc in barzaq...and even with prophet(pbuh)...what the science has to do with all that !!!!!!!!!!

scientists do not start out to debate existence of God. they reason out whatever their observations are to explain phenomenon and where cause effects are established, good things happen to humanity.

I beleive in God but I also believe that most of of what mullahs and hadiths etc say are "requirements" "constraints" and "rules" are just made up ...people projecting their own wishes desires and concepts as god given. with a such a vast majority of so called mullahs speaking as god's spokesmen, why would any honest person become one? just like we have no honest person entering politics (last refuge of scoundrels) or law (2nd last refuge of scoundrels), religious hadith making has become the 3rd worst refuge of scounrels.

And then there is the naive set of people who want to find a parallel in religion for every proven scientific development. Land a man on moon ..."oh see hadith 45674 predicted that"...cure for cancer ...."sure ....see what he said about mixing sand and water to create in-te-rfron!
