In my experience, I have found guys my age and younger to not be mature in ways I would like. Not that I found that maturity in all older men either. But it is easier to find it in slightly older men than younger.

Men use the economics of it to take advantage to get the hotter, more fertile, energetic woman. And that can be a set up for a disaster.
I advocate finding someone you’re compatible with, leaving the age issue aside as a secondary priority.

Well you gave some hint in last post. But that is not 'domination'. It is social norm and acceptable practice everywhere which brings good results for the most part.

Honestly speaking though, some women also use being young, hot and fertile to hook a richer guy, so it isn't only men who take advantage.
In my experience, it isn't age that determines whether a marriage is successful but the maturity of the people involved.

How the heck does a 10 yr age difference bring about a good result that a marriage where the couple are fairly close in age, doesn't??

See you are the one who is making big deal of difference here.
It should not matter to you if woman is younger even 10 years, as long as they feel compatible to each other. Right?
Who says same age = Compatibility?

Primal instincts man:
Younger women = More fertile = Healthy offspring
Older Men = More resources = Better chance of offspring survival.
Overall goal: Get offspring to survive and reproduce. Spread them genes.

Share what? I just told you my husband is younger than me. I have never understood why women go for older men. Why get the used goods? Know what I mean?!

I am pro marrying whoever you are comfortable with though would personally prefer not a big gap at all.
It all comes down to maturity level. Personally...i have always preferred someone 2 or 4 years younger. So ya..as mamzie said...whatever you are comfortable with.

Not true. I guess you haven't run into any cougars yet, have you? My husband is younger than me.
How many years of difference ? I know of one scenario where girl was a professor and 13-14 year older than the guy. She was real cougar.

A Men will always prefer a younger girl over a girl at the same age bracket and they are stack of reasons for that as described in detail in this thread.
You will rarely see young girls getting married to a man with same age bracket. All women and their family desires is a well settled guy and this is the reason you will see them getting married to buddhay uncles. Why blame the uncles in this? they are in demand because of lalchi larkian.
