So many men like to marry younger women and lots of women like to marry older men?

its a truth. My mother was younger than my father, my sister is younger than her husband, my wife is younger than me, my brothers wife is younger than him, my mother in law is younger than my father in law.
How much more true can it be :(

Multiple reason, but number number one is that guys dont "qualify" to get married 'jab tuk woh apnay pairon pe naa kharay ho jaa'ain'. Girls dont face this issue. So by the time a guy is ready, he is 25-26 minimum. He will go for the gril who is just getting into marriageable age, which is 18-19 or so. Hence the difference.
This is only true for arrange marriages. For love marriages, they are almost always the same age group

It is definitely not the norm but I do know many couples where the wife is older. I am only a few months older than my husband. My older sister's husband is also almost exactly her age. My younger sister's husband is also younger than her.

@diwana. Among pashtoons girls are married very young, boys too, but usually they are same age as rest. I had a class mate from a prominent KPK political family, and I asked him, why you guys marry girls so young, like boy is 25-30 and girl is 15-16, he said, "acha he na. ziyada dair tak jawaan rehti hai"
Having said that I recall a study that showed the best intimate chemistry according to age difference in long term marriages is, when women is 10 years younger than man.
