There were advanced ancient civilizations in China, sub continent, Iraq, Greece … even Egypt, which is itself counted in Africa. But there has not been any significant civilization arousing from sub-Saharan Black Africa.
Why do you think this is the case?
You can pretty much say the same thing about American Indians. They lived in the north American region for ages and did nothing significant in terms of advancements.

American natives lived off the land with out hurting it for 10s of thousands of years.
They had most advance techniques of fishing hunting while sustaining it.
Some people say nothing in nature is linear neither natives or Africans life style and learning was.
Did it ever occur to you people they just did not want iphones ??

I think one reason that Africans did not produce an advanced civilization on their own is that they did not have any great river to sustain large human population. And without sufficiently large population, it was impossible to start an original civilization.
Most old civilizations started around a river system. Mesopotamia, called the cradle of civilization by some people, literally means “Land between two rivers” or “Bait Nahrain” (Tigris/Euphrates). Indus Valley Civilization was around River Indus. And Egyptian civilization revolved around Nile.
South American Indians did have great civilizations. For example, Canari and Inca. But I have to search for whether they had a river system to support it. Ecuador - History
Early Chinese civilization was also associated with river.

In prehistoric times, that is, 10,000 years ago, humans were hunter-gatherers all around the world. Their lives were spent hunting and looking for water resources. Since these resources were scarce, so people competed against each other. Hence there were small groups of people which means not enough resources to come up with intellectual concepts.
But then some of them started living around large water resource. This increased size of the group. Thus new things started developing. Agriculture was introduced, putting an end to constant hunting of animals.
Ultimately, those people created civilizations.
I think sub-Saharan Africa did not have any such river system. That might explain why there was no advanced civilization.

The conditions in river valleys, particularly in modern day Iraq, India and Egypt, helped to create civilization because the rivers allowed agriculture augmented by irrigation. The river valleys often had a number of tributaries, and over these watery plains the population could direct water to their crops. This basis for creating a steady supply of food was the foundation for civilization.

By the way, if anyone thinks that rise of civilization has anything to do with color of skin then realize that Nordic Europeans also never had any ancient civilization. Just like Africans.
Greeks learned civilized ways from more Egyptians. Actually, early Greeks and Romans were not as ‘white’ as they are today. Actually, even today they are not considered ‘white enough’ by Nordic people like Germans, Scandinavians, etc.

Leopards and killer whales also have pretty advance hunting techniques. Hunting for food is basic survival. That does not make you an advance civilization

What is sub-Saharan Africa like below Nigeria, sudan and above south Africa? I took a pre-colonial Africa class and west Africans at least were advanced that they had unique architecture and were making clothes from leaf stalk unlike cotton. This erroneously made the Europeans come up with the ‘Arab stimulus paradigm’ where anything intelligent that Africans did was taught to them by the more culturally advanced Arabs. This is not to say that arabs didn’t have any influence as for example, this one ruler of Mali, infamous for its gold reserves, gave so much gold to places he stopped on the way to his hajj and brought back many scholars to the city of timbaktu. Of course, Europeans might have dismissed such tales as Timbuktu and the empires had lost their zenith when the Europeans set foot in west Africa.

google benin bronzes or great zimbabwe. there have been civilizations, just because white man and his chums haven’t been there to dig and polish most of it doesnt mean it didnt happen.

What about South Asian Indians? Did they produce anything before bollywood? (maybe indus valley civilization but thats nothing compared to the size of land and number people that have been living here)

Well, obviously not everything can be explained by connection of rivers with ORIGINAL civilizations. There could be other factors, and I would be happy if someone could point to those factors** in regards to Africa**.
Africa is the main point. Because racists like neo-Nazis and white supremacists say that it is because of their genes.
