Re: Why do you think Black Africa never has had any advanced civilization?
I 'bing’ed benin bronzes. They were made in 13th century. Great zimbabwe, 11th century. Not very old. That was the time when Islamic world had already passed its prime and Mongols were devastating cities.
So again, not very old.
But about your last comment about white ‘chums’ not digging out African cultures. Well, it appears like a racist comment against White people. Secondly, no Westerner would stop to gain glory for himself. Who unearthed great zimbabwe or benin bronzes? Who discovered Indus Valley? Who discovered Inca?
If you really think there are civilizations waiting to be unearthed there then who has more responsibility to do that? So why criticize ‘White chums’?
Re: Why do you think Black Africa never has had any advanced civilization?
Historically Iraq, Palestine and neighboring areas, Roman Empire, Greeks, Egypt (North Africa) etc were centers of old civilizations. If we see most of these areas were close to each other.
Re: Why do you think Black Africa never has had any advanced civilization?
Yes. Roman Empire learned its ways from Greece, which in turn learned from Egypt. So Egypt was the original civilization. Thanks to Nile.
Today, most Westerners try to downplay the key role played by Egypt in teaching Greece and Levant the civilization. For example, the alphabets all Europe and Middle East use originated in Egypt.
Re: Why do you think Black Africa never has had any advanced civilization?
There would be people living in other places, but maybe their civilizations were not that important. Civilizations learn from each other. If we see the world map, we can see that the most important civilizations of the world were located in a very small area. An example I can give in this regard is of Lahore, we know its a historical city but it didnt have any prominence prior to the Moghuls. In the past our historical centers were Taxila, Peshawar, Swat, Moenjodaro and Harappa. Now these cities are nothing as compared to Lahore.
