Just count the signs of HIS existence. Just look at yourself in the mirror. Observe different animals, plants, planets, the universe. There are innumerable signs, but ONLY if someone wants to believe.
Even a human example is sufficient. I would recommend all agnostics/atheists to study in complete detail e.g their respiratory system, nervous system, reproductive system. Anything. Things are here becuase they are CREATED.
Ever since the existence of human kind there has been a urge to find answers to their problems, Religions have in many ways satisfied that apetite. Whether you believe in a certain God or not or you simply do not believe in life after death, that is based on one’s conditioning of the mind, environment, time of existence and opportunities. Whether you believe in Allah, Yewa or Ram these are names which mankind has designated as a reference point.
Faith has to come from the heart, not the mind. Either you have it, or not.
I guess the real question you ought to ask your self is that will the mankind progress even a step forward if there were no problems/challenges/issues/hurdles? I can guarantee you that if there are no hindrances or problems we will not develop even an inch further morally, materialistically, or scientifically. A quick study of the Holy Quran will reveal beyond a shadow of doubt that humans respond to either warnings or good news (glad tidings) and this is confirmed from everyday observations. We would either change our attitudes out of fear for consequences or in anticipation of good reward. That is what drives us. Starting today if you were to start living in a perfectly peaceful world (which is impossible) I can assure you that would be our collective death sentences. Without challenges/hurdles/problems we will loose our purpose.
If the purpose of God is to give hope, and hope is the ultimate rational for believing in god, then why should I believe in Islam, or anyother religion if all other options can also provide me with hope?
And why should people then be offended by heretics and fitnas. Why would they want to purge their religion of these people and exclude them when all we are looking for is hope?
These people still “hope” there is life after death… But its the certainty of it that a god provides, thats what they lack… So I guess its a sense of certainty that is the bases for belief in god.
You can see the perfection of life outside of god..Natural evolution is the answer..
Things started out chaotic but then as things settled down the universe by definition had to form into a more ordered exisitance. Chaotic Universes died out or just simply failed to offer the ingredients for life. We are a product of luck.
Everything and its perfection is a result of this natural falling into place. Any example, the human circulatory system, very complex and yet functions like clock work… But even it started out very basic, and evolved so that those animals with less refined circulatory system died out while those with better ones lived on a and reproduced until they got to us. Its like taking a great car, building on adding new things according to the needs of the day until eventually arriving at a car thats suited for every environment..
Both I think… Atheists still want to believe their is an afterlife.
Agnostics arent sure but they to are hoping there is a god which provides them the sense of certainty that they will live on.
