Well? Why do you try to change your man and his habits? Shouldn’t you be happy with the man he is? Yet there is always a desire to change, manipulate and mold him into something he is not? Why? Does it apply to the golden statement that “Women are never happy with what they have?”

It goes both ways. Aren't men notorious for wanting to marry younger, impressionable girls, so that the girl can be molded to fit in with the guy's and his family's lifestyle.
Accepting a person for who they are when you meet them isn't easily done. And that is further complicated by the fact that most people DO change with time. So what should a person be prepared for - that their partner won't change to please them or that they will change in unpredicatable ways?
