I guess its both ways. Many men try to do the same but depends on how its being said.. in a critical way or in a way to actually make some improvements.

Marry someone who's already set in their ways, that way their habits annoy you more than yours annoy them

Well? Why do you try to change your man and his habits? Shouldn't you be happy with the man he is? Yet there is always a desire to change, manipulate and mold him into something he is not? Why? Does it apply to the golden statement that "Women are never happy with what they have?"
I think it goes both ways........human being are just like that! though at times wanting them to change certain things is not a bad idea if it is also for their better but yah i get real annoyed when i see girls/guys wanting their spouse to be the total opposite of what they actually fell for in the beginning? now that is real stupid.
