Self control is easy for women to prescribe except they don't realize that almost anything can get a man in the mood. Just seeing an attractive woman can do it whereas most women need to be in the mood.
I agree that watching porn instead of being with your wife is a problem but if the wife is too busy then what? It's a fact of life that sometimes women are just not in the mood. Men don't equate sex with emotions as women do. Men tend to treat sex as just sex whereas women tend to get attached. There has been research on this and the responses in the thread prove this: "feel like he's cheating on me etc". No he's not, he's literally just watching porn and will forget about it once it's over.
That said, porn can be a problem and should be controlled.

I think the fact that it creates insecurity in women is itself a bad thing. Why put your partner in that situation? Now if the porn stars are deliberately having breast enhancements and what not, and if they all have what is idealised as the 'perfect figure' then of course that is creating unrealistic expectations for the average woman, who has to deal with puberty, child birth, menopause and so on.
You can say the same about movies. They may not be naked (in most movies) but they sure are perfect. So are all women going to become insecure because Megan fax has an amazing body or because we wish we had the curves of Katrina and the face of aishwarya rai? I think not! They do make-up, they have fake body parts, expensive clothes. Are we not able to separate ourselves from that?
First of all, that's quite sad. I hope and have faith that there are men out there who see past the physical and do sometimes realise the beauty in this intimacy. Secondly, why does it matter if men don't care that much? Do women's opinions not matter?
Of course every guy wants to be loved and cared for, but when it comes to sex, it's JUST sex. They don't picture movie scenes like girls do. That's just nature. Further, unless if he's a porn addict I am sure it will not negatively effect a couples sex life.

You're making it sound as if those men who watch porn do NOTHING, BUT WATCH PORN. lol. I'm sorry but treating women well is something taught and inforced at home not on a porn site. You can be a perfectly normal human being who believes in love, cares for family, is intimate with wife, etc. and still watch porn. Shocking, I know!
See, that is what intrigues me. Like, why on earth would anybody not want their husband to NOT watch porn? I am not insecure/jealous (seriously, I am not) and I am all for exploring each other's sexuality and yeah, porn may open your mind to new things and may in fact help your sex life but to me, the reason I dont want my husband to is only because the idea of him looking at another woman's groin area makes me sick to my stomach. I wonder how many of you actually know any porn watchers. It achieves different things for different people. It's like saying rap music encourages violence. No, it's the people listening to rap music who already had the liking for violence. It doesn't make them go out and kill people. Similarly, porn alone does not make one go out and find someone to do it with. Often when husbands watch porn, they later try it with their wives. It makes things more exciting for a married couple. It can also destroy a marriage if one is addicted to porn.

I somewhat agree with this but I think in a relationship you have to be selfless, means one should care more about pleasing his/her spouse rather than just worrying about your own pleasure, so when you try your best to please your spouse both of you will end up having a blast.
