I think when people start putting themselves on a higher pedastal and start looking down upon others around, it creates negativity in them. Negative Proudness, it is.
I believe this is why our Prophet (saw) taught us to be humble and forbade us to look down on others. Because not being humble and feeling others are lower than one’s ownself with a feeling of a pride not only creates negativity but brings down the person to the level of Satan.
