Why bring religion into it that prophet (p.b.u.h) did not have a mustache or he never encouraged it. Are rest of our daily lives led by Prophet's(p.b.u.h) teachings? This thing is a personal choice and more of a cultural thing than any thing to do with religion.

the trend is changing, pakistani women are also growing them albeit not voluntarily, the definition of zanana may have to be updated

As i understand it Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) trimmed his mustache but it wasn’t clean shaven.

Its more of a pakistani culture thing. Up until the early 20th centuary mustache was quite popular in Europe as well but nowadays u hardly see any gora with it. Back then it would’ve been considered cool and most ppl expressing their disgust might’ve kept it as well. Its a case of go with the flow i guess.

I have a mustache and the reason i have it is caz i like it. :snooty: If others dont like it, they can go the way they want. When i came to the west, i was just beginning to get a mustache so i could’ve gone clean shaven if i wanted to, but i like it better than clean shave so i kept it. :phajja:

I’m gonna keep a beard too, once i get a full beard. Not the mulla style but a trimmed short one. :smiley:

its not a question of being disgusted with mustache, i think ppl should do what looks good on them, keep it styled properly etc..

only dusgusting thing about mustaches are

1) when there is food stuck in them
2) when mustaches are merging with nasal hair and vice versa....its more common than u think...and its looks nasty

agreed. that is disgusting.
mustache should be above the lip meaning it shouldn't be hanging over the lip (thats when it interferes with the food going into the mouth) and it sould be trimmed properly.
