From what I understand, Muslims consider a sunnat to grow a beard because thats what Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) did. But he did not grow a mustache and kept his beard trimmed.
Now why are Pakistanis and other Desis doing the opposite?
Not growing a beard but having a Mustache?

it was believed that all 'honourable men' should have a mushtache in pakistan. must be easing up a bit now i should think, but this wont die out over night as the pictures of the protesting lawyers prove

i know ppl in amreeka who dont have a mooch but whenever they want to visit pakistan, they would grow a mooch a couple weeks before their flight and the reason they give is that yaar mooch di baghaair banda uthay zanana zanana lagda

yeah your typical derh pasli ka 5'4" desi dude in pastel polo shirts would look a litle zanana without a mustache... an preop T/S type of zanana but yeah.. a zanana.

and nope, I have been clean shaven all my life
have had a soul patch, goatie etc but never for more than a few weeks.
only time I had a mustache was when i had grown a goatie, and while shaving left the mustache as is for about 15 mins.
I looked like a punjabi filmi ghunda, so took that off..
but not before trimming it down to take a few pics of myself as charlie chaplin..

merc but i think u are mistaken that they would look any better without the mustache, atleast that covers part of the face. maybe they should grow a beard and grow the hair long so it falls on the face...hmmmmm how would that suit ya? :p
