Umar Radiallahu anhu beheaded a man who sought another opinion after the Prophet SAW had already decided a matter

LOL. He himself had been making so many things Haram which were practiced by Prophet (s) and Sahaba.

please note some important points

1.the Prophet said, “He who slaps his cheeks, tears his clothes and follows the ways and traditions of the Days of Ignorance is not one of us.”

Oh yesh then letse see who is the first one to come under ambit of this fatwa. We read in History of al Tabari Volume 9 page 183 (English translation by Ismail Poonawala):

Abbas narrates:
"I heard Ayesha saying “The Messenger of God died on my bosom during my turn, I did not wrong anyone in regard to him. It was because of my ignorance and youthfulness that the Messenger of God died while he was in my lap. Then I laid his head on a pillow and got up beating my chest and slapping my face along with the women”.**

Imam Ibn Katheer known for his hatred for Shiass records in his remarkable work al Bidayah wa al Nihayah Volume 5 page 420 published by Nafees Academy Karachi as follows:

“Rasulullah (s) died while he was in my lap. Then I laid his head on a pillow and got up beating my face along with other women”.

not actually authenticated by anyone

even shias usually quote this with the addition of ''Shaykh al-Arnaut says: Its chain is hasan on account of Ibn Ishaq"

besides we have hadiths which tell us that lamenting will occur

however the shia practice is unique, it is an organised carnival against the teachings of islam, in the name of ahulbayt
