This khutbah is recorded by Abu Tahir Tayfur al-Baghdadi, a prolific ninth century historian, in one of his books “Balaghatun Nisa”.
Abu Tahir was the first person to write a history of Baghdad. There is a book on him by Shawkat Toorawa.
