People who say that unfortunately have a one dimensional view of life. Of course it’s not as simple as that, and only Allah in His infinite wisdom knows the truth. The most surprising statement i’ve heard someone say is ‘there is no such thing is psychiatry in Islam’ and ‘there is no such thing as depression, for how can one believe in God and still be depressed?’
