Why do people say

i guess no one does :)
ppl also say that "when Allah closes one door, 99 other doors open" i dont understand why ppl say dat?

Re: Why do people say

^ Maybe you dont want 99 other doors to open? Maybe you wanted that one door to stay open? Get it?..

Humans might be the smartest creatures on earth but they certainly ain't smarter than the creator himself.

Re: Why do people say

Do you have a answer then huma?

MB chill yaar :k:i guess everyone tried to answer the question and i guess no one is able to come close to the answer u r looking for, i guess try other venues if u r seriously inquiring.

Re: Why do people say

Kaun! im very chilled.

I’m no scholar MB but when I decided to follow this religion at the age of 19, I completely surrendered myself to Allah s.w.t. and when one does that, he/she accepts that everything is for Allah, by Allah and of Allah.

Watch this and you will Inshallah get your answers. I cried with guilt when I first saw this. How the hell did I let this ugly devil seduce me for so long!!

Despite of the fact the creator knows that you can handle such affliction and hardship. People commit suicide because they don't think they are capable of handling test from Allah and simple, as they lack patience.

^ That's all there is to it.

.

im sorry but it is weak, thats my opinion. when you feel suicidal, you have a choice, either you be strong and pull yourself out of it, you have faith that things will get better(its easier said than done i know but you TRY)or you kill yourself. killing yourself is being weak. there are millions of people around the world in awful situations, the people of haiti is a good example i guess, but they still carry on, no matter how hard it is to do so.
personally i believe if someone commits suicide, be they religious or not,at the time of them doing it,theyre not close to Allah at all.
anyway like someone said, you dont seem to have found the answers you wanted, but hopefully the answers given here will help in some way.

Re: Why do people say

We are always able to handle the situations, all we need to do is to just look at the people who are in a far worse situation than ours.

:k:

Because it's true. People who commit suicide choose to give up. The counter-example I'll give you is that there are people who at some point in their lives feel like committing suicide, but then don't because of the fact that it's haram. They face their problems with patience and come out later with His help. Allah knows them better than they know themselves.

thats sort of what i said!

PEOPLE don't say that.

Allah swt says it Himself in the Quran

On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear – [Quran 2:286]

This world is an abode for tests and one should not deny or avoid these but should face them and pass them successfully. A person can be put into hardships for a number of reasons and we might not know those reasons when undergoing a certain loss but what we must do is always remember Allah(swt), be patient, abstain from what is unlawful, give charity and ask Him to help ease out our hard times. If we do fail to do this then we should turn to Allah(swt) and ask for forgiveness. Allah(swt) is Most Merciful and InshaAllah He will forgive us for the wrong that we do.

Narrated By Abu Said Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.” (Sahih Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 70, #545)

Paying for sins in this world is much easier than paying in the Hereafter. It is a blessing in disguise which Allah(swt) bestows upon us and saves us from the payment of these sins in the Hereafter.

The Quran informs us what to do when we face these tests in our life and also tells us about the reward that we will receive if we are successful in dealing with the situation in the way we are expected to:

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, Who say, when afflicted with calamity: “To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return”:-
They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. - [Quran 2:155-157]

We are to be patient during hard times and always remember that Allah(swt) is the Creator of everything and We all will return to Him. No deed is lost in front of Allah and we will be rewarded for even the minutest good that we ever did do. Trials afflicting us can be signs of His Love. It is narrated that Prophet Muhammad(saw) said:

Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials.” (Sahih Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 70, #548)

Misfortune can bring a person towards the right path. It can make better Muslims out of people. Observing patience, remembering Allah(swt) and turning only to Him for help and guidance during such times, will help us attain Allah’s forgiveness and His rewards.

Allah(swt) tests man through various agencies, both through adversity and prosperity. A person with a luxurious life is tested to see how much he spends in the way of Allah(swt) and how much he is thankful to Allah(swt) for the blessings bestowed upon him. Another can be tested by the things he desires but does not and/or cannot possess. What do these people do is actually their test. Does the person deviate from the way of Allah(swt) to pursue the worldly gains?

Re: Why do people say

People who say that unfortunately have a one dimensional view of life. Of course it's not as simple as that, and only Allah in His infinite wisdom knows the truth. The most surprising statement i've heard someone say is 'there is no such thing is psychiatry in Islam' and 'there is no such thing as depression, for how can one believe in God and still be depressed?'

Re: Why do people say

if one is depressed, then obviously they are ill and if they do commit suicide then they are of course not to blame and Allah swt will reward them for their pain that they have gone through.

allah doesnt give us more than we can bear, but this thing called life is a test for everyoe be it faith, marriage, illness whatever however it depends on your IMAN that iman is what causes us to hang on to hold in their hoping it will get better, that initself is strength, one who doesnt have this faith is the one under pressure and will crumble more easily.

MB read what Puchi Kuchi's long quote. Its perfect answer to your question. If you dont agree then apart from that I dont think you can get a better answer. These are the reasons that I never committed suicide when I was thinking about it. The whole time I just thought, if Im a muslim then I must know that this life is a test, and if I think that this is hard then taubasthighfaar what hardships I will have to face in the afterlife. I always think to myself DO I BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH if the answer is yes, then there is no way that I can intentionally do something that I know will admit me straight into Hell. Always know that nothing lasts for ever, so if its hardship that your going through, then its gotta end one day no? There is always reward in prayer and in patience. As the saying goes, time is a great healer. Hugs for anyone who is going thru testing times.
