A normal prostitute story would go like this
First you do it for love
Then you do it for fun
Then you do it for friends
Then you do it for money :)
I think in restrictive societies a larger percentage of the population uses prostitutes than compared to more open ones but that's just my hypothesis.
An extreme view that I've heard is that traditional marriage is simply an institutionalized form of long-term prostitution, where a father basically sells off his daughter, in exchange for her financial support given by the groom. I think in some cases this is definitely true; for example, in a marriage where there is no love and it is a purely economic arrangement. If a person is a believer in that both marriage and p are just different forms of exchanging resources, then it is easy for a person to prostitute themselves. But personally I think marriage is not just about s.x and the couple should have an emotional bond with each other and dependence on each other for other things so their relation is not reduced to simply the man providing and the woman producing.

You also prostitute yourself, we all do, not in literal sense of the word. We all sell our skills and in return we get money for our labor. There are many hungry beasts out there. When a certain poor girl cannot find a decent job and/or is not aware of the rules of this harsh world, she will be lured into this sinful world. When any girl is used as a sex object, she is playing the role of a prostitute. These days many girls play this role for their boyfriends - wrongly assuming that they love them. Almost every man would be ready to have a sex with some random girl if the girl meets his standards. Men make this business work and they invented this business. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Those prostitutes aren't doing some outlandish thing - they just have sex for money with some random guy but we all love to have sex. The system and personal circumstances push you in such a business. At the right time and right moment everything is possible.

Quite wrong, prostitues are used more where their availability is more. Thailand is world's hub for people who want to buy sex. There are millions of women from countries from nearby countries who come there to work, same in Hong Kong. Similarly UK which does not prohibit prostitution attracts lots of asian and european women.
Secondly, buyers of prostitues are regular guys, young men in 20's and 30's.
THIRDLY, buyers usually do it away from their area of residence and job. These men do not hire prostitues of their own area rather they travel to different countries to engage in such activities.
Prostitution is a voluntary sale of a labor service. If both adults are consenting on the terms of the services then it should not be a problem.

CNBC just aired a piece called “Dirty money”. It was about the business of high end prostitutes who earn alot of $$ from their clients. Ranges from $5000 for few hours to $50,000 for a week. Its their business and they are successful, highly eduated business women. Very interesting!

It's a good thing for many men in Pakistan is that they can get a good deal within Rs. 30,000 for two nights. Well, sometimes demands can be quite demanding - pleasing many men at the same time. There is another good alternative. You can spend that kind of money on your friend and let her please you. At least this way you will have satisfaction that your money went to your friend!
