What’s the point in going to university if you’re just going to become a housewife once you get married? From what I have seen, a lot of girls in Pakistan who get an education don’t work after they get married. Some never work because they get married as soon as they finish school and they basically become housewives.
Is it really worth spending you’re parents’ money on education if all that you are going to do is cook and clean?
Listen people: I’m not saying that women shouldn’t get basic education or they shouldn’t have a right to education.
All I’m saying is that it’s nor fair for parents to work really hard to make money to spend on higher education for their daughters, if all their daughters are expected to do in life is cook and clean.
It’s unfortunate that so many educated women in Pakistan don’t enter the work force.
Just think of all the contributions they could make to the country.
It’s not fair for women who did not have a chance to get an education to be looked down upon even though they do they perform the same duties as the educated women. -for those who think that getting an education makes a better housewife.
Second, no matter what you do with your life, education is something no one can take away from you. Anyone who is educated has a higher chance of receiving respect. If your parents have the money or not, education for their daughters is a great investment. Not only do the parents have a satisfaction for their daughters safety, but the daughters themselves have a base beneath them, for if their husband wants to be an ass. Therefore, education is never a waste, but an investment for a woman.
Gandhi said somewhere that "when you educate a man, you educate an individual but when you educate a woman, you educate a family." I don't know if he took it from somewhere, but Rania came much later.

Queen Rania quote: "As you educate a woman, you educate the family. If you educate the girls, you educate the future."

titty01, I thought I was being a troll lately, but you take the cake buddy :k:
Education is absolutely important and necessary. I am not sure which side you bat for, and what your preference is, but normally a guy wouldn’t want to end up with an illiterate woman. Education is not merely about learning chemical formulas and chain reactions, it refines your personality. Plus different couples have different understanding regarding house work versus some other work/business, plus you never know what situation you find yourself into - always better to be prepared.
Re: Why do parents in Pakistan waste money on educating their daughters?
I guess some of those girls use their education as a 'backup' incase of divorce etc. Imo even if a girl is not going to work after marriage she still needs to be educated, not just for the reason already mentioned but also ppl who are educated tend to have a different outlook, be more open-minded etc than those who aren't and of course they can pass on their knowledge and views onto their kids..
Re: Why do parents in Pakistan waste money on educating their daughters?
That i am and openly state it. But atleast mine are entertaining. Yours are just retarded. Seriously if you are asking such a retarded question you have a lot to learn about life. Education is not about working. Its about the basic standards of life. A decent education is required for almost activity in life.
You need to know how to read to follow directions. You need to know how to do math for most basic human activities.
Seriously you need to do better if you are gonna troll these fourms.
