Why do Pakistanis keep mustache?

I can understand beard but why do many Pakistanis tend to keep mustache?

It looks gross to me, to be honest. Even though many of my close relatives have it.

But then beard could do the same.

I think long mustache were used in yester-years to frighten or “daraa-ing” the enemy.

A well kempt beard and moustache is great but overgrown hair looks nasty.
