Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool's paradise?

Just because they don’t have empirical evidence about their beliefs? for existence of God, for life hereafter and so on?

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

They can argue on things but when they find it necessary to spread their ideas of mocking religious beliefs then it makes me think of them extremists.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

All Non religious people do not consider religious people fools
All atheists are not immoral and unethical

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

cuz thats the most they could do. A reasoning to satisfy themselves. What they call the bubble they live in?jst wondering

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

Religious people are selling invisible product with guaranteed returns in after life. No one his or her right mind would call that living in fool’s paradise…especially since dead people don’t come back to complain about the guarantee part.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

Also there is this notion that atheists are smarter people, that could not be more wrong.
ITs like some known smarter people were atheists so all atheists started thinking they were smart as well.

Atheist’s believe in Darwin is much bigger then my believe in God. Atleast once in while I question my believe.
Atheists are so so hooked to one liners, that its unbelievable able. Propblem is I don’t see every atheist walking with
microscope or pencil and paper proving there is No GOD.
So they end being more or less like religious people, believe in some one else believe.

Even one day I lose my faith in God, I will never ever want to join the loony bin called atheists.
That is bigger insult being called a religious person.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

You just quoted me.

How could you, Mr. Monk?

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

Just did :snooty:

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

I wont be so sure about that.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

Any ideology be it religious or non-religious is based on invisible things. if religious people sell invisible products, so is the case with non-religious lot. They also lack evidence in their ideology as far as the faith is concerned.

Science is not the domain here, so I would not touch it.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

if dead aint coming back to complain, share his experience then the one alive isnt visiting dead’s world as well to know whats up with him. and you have met wrong people. no religious person could ever guarantee you life hereafters returns. they show you the guidelines, share good news (heaven) and bad news(hell). dnt claim to book you a plot there.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

There are many ways to approach this issue. I start with obvious ones.
What you said here, is popular belief in smarter educated non-muslim people.
Why you think is that ?

Problem with islam is, it never want your blind faith!!
It wants you to think. Ponder. again and again.
So we are not here for your mercy of faithing in our faith.

If any favour.. I would like you to think. Just as God ask in quran over and over and over…and over… and some more.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

^ Your point is valid, but what to do about molvies? They provide fodder to the atheists and the dumbass commonfolk alike. Molvies don’t let people ponder, molvi want to tell you wat to do and also tell rest of the world wat a muslim is to do.

Hence proved, problem is not the religion, its the molvi.

PS: Atheists have molvies among them too

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

:omg:

:omg: so true.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

And you were writing in generalizations are bad thread.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

o these non religious people - always needing proof and evidence to believe in things. :nono4:

why cant they just believe in santa, easter bunny, unicorns, etc too? :naraz:

what is the big deal about proof anyway? just close your eyes and believe or my god will fry you in hell. :smokin:

they have no moralz. :nook: and those who do all the crimes in this world are not religious.

pakistan today - heading towards anarchy thanks to these non-religious people.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

Y so cafe’ish???/////

You are definitely correct. I did post. Perhaps you could be a bit more direct.

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

so when I stand on edge of a pool, if some one thrown a stone in it. I would see ripples coming to me.
Even with out seeing the stone falling, I would know some thing must have caused it.

So tell me no matter budhism hinduism or christianiy. What has happened 5000 or 3000 or 2000 years ago that I see still see the ripples coming. What sort of men were they(always one man at the end) ?

Who you can produce such a even today that 5000 years later you still have people believing it “religiously”
and in millions.

Writing some thing like that off so vaguely.. just because todays markets don’t need it any more ?

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

what ripples? :\ me no understand the post properly. what happened 5000, 3000, 2000 years ago? if you mean the religions started then, what is your opinion on the more recent ripple of mirza ghulam ahmed? why so picky about what exact ripple rumor to believe?

Re: Why do non-religious people think that religious people live in fool’s paradise?

obviously the confirmation is what was sought.
