learning different languages is actually encouraged in Islam. It is part of the learning process to seek knowledge. There is no harm in that. On the other hand if you are a muslim and join the non muslim ranks knowing you might one day have to fight with muslim armies is being very hypocrite and unfaithful with your fellow men.

well buddy by this logic if you go few hundred years back when the western countries were going through their dark ages. It were muslims who started working in humanities, optics, physics, chemistry etc and later kufar built up on it.

CP I understand you are Pakistani and your feeling belong to Pakistan.Tell me what about the kids who are born here and they have no feeling for Pakistan.And if they have extreme desires to go into forces whats gonna happen?And if they don't have money to pay for college and they have to join forces for their studies does it make them traitors?
Anyways my point is if country where I am living is fighting against Palestine, or KSA or Pakistan on the basis of religion then I will always prefer it that my children won't join armies because then a muslim brother will be killing muslim brother.But if a country I am living in, is attacked by outside forces and they need help on the basis of humanitarian ground then may be I'll let my children go.Like in world war2 people needed help for their countries.Afghanistan is not my country and Taliban are biggest Pakistan's enemies so I have definitely no feelings for them, so I don't care what is happening to that country.BUT in no way if my country where I am right now is fighting against ISLAM then I am never ever gonna let my children in forces.*Mind that war against Afghanistan is not war against Islam its against stupid terrorists who are killing innocent people in Pakistan.
