I wouldn't want my wife to work as I feel that a family life is very important. I think the welfare of the children is more important than earning a few extra dollars. It is not possible for a working mum to devote as much time and energy to the family as it deserves.

true, in fact, most guys that I have talked to have expressed that they want their wives to work even if its part time. they think its sad when girls degrees go to waste and that they like the way working women raise their children.
Actually they want the money even if they are earning enough. In my opinion, degrees are not earned only beacuse one should work. All people seem towant is more and more money and they look down upon people who don't. If you want money fine, but don't pinpoint women who don't work as if it's some holy thing.

I didn't read anywhere in your examples where a woman was asked/forced to not work and stay at home. So I don't really understand how it is relevant to what I said. My post was directed towards men who are uncomfortable with the concept of their wife working.

How about this question... Would you import a wife or would you marry someone wherever you are based?
Ideally you would marry someone wherever you are, as you have more chance to meet someone that you like closer to home. Whether that actually happens or not depends upon your criteria and if you can find someone that you feel you are compatible with. In some circumstances you may not find someone that meets your criteria and who is compatible with you.
Compatibility is dependent upon your personalities and the chemistry between you. Criteria is based upon more practical things like can your wife live in your environment. Can she fit in your family. Is she prepared to travel across the globe with you even if you decide to live in Mongolia or Tanzania. Is she flexible in her thinking. When you find someone that meets your criteria and is compatible then you are ready to get married.
