Happy, could you find the news item where black people in South Africa were protesting against the decision of errecting a statue of Mohandas Karamchand in South Africa?

They also said they can never forget how racist Mohandas Karamchand has been against black people, calling them one degree above animals.

Fact remains: Mohandas Karamchand was a racist of first degree!!!

Even if P in USA keeps trying to justify his racism by giving examples of other world leaders, :)

So that makes Jinnah a racist too, since he was one of Gandhi's biggest supporters and admirers when Gandhi returned from SA :)

Quaid, before he saw the real face of Mohandas Karamchand, tried his best to reconcile with all people in india.

He was a tolerant person and unlike Mohandas Karamchand, he was not a racist!

Nice subterfuge - but you still haven't answered how being a PhD in medicinal chemistry makes him an expert on Gandhi ?

Is that why at Gandhi's death, Jinnah said 'Gandhi was one of the greatest men ever' ?

And Jinnah died a few months after that, so when did he see the real face of Gandhi ??

Anyway, let me make this easy for you. Your pseudo-expert Baldev Singh referred to the writings of one Velu Annamalai, who is also a Ph.D and is the President of the International Dalit Support Group **and the author of Sergeant-Major M.K. Gandhi published by the **Dalit Sahitya Akademy in Bangalore, India in 1995.

I am sure this author would have many more writings saying that Ambedkar, and not Gandhi was responsible for India getting independence. Maybe you should read and post those on GS too ;)

The story of Gandhi’s travails at Pietermaritzburg Railway Station has now acquired another life. In a moving ceremony at Pietermaritzburg Railway Station presided over by Nelson Mandela, the President of South Africa, the Freedom of Pietermaritzburg was conferred posthumously on Mahatma Gandhi on April 25, 1997. Gathered together to right a century-old wrong, President Mandela recalled “Gandhi’s magnificent example of personal sacrifice and dedication in the face of oppression”. Gopalkrishna Gandhi, India’s High Commissioner to South Africa, received the Freedom of Pietermaritzburg on behalf of his grandfather and noted that Gandhi’s experience at the railway station was something like a second birth: “When Gandhi was evicted from the train, an Indian visiting South Africa fell but when Gandhi rose, an Indian South African rose.”

What kind of lame question/argument is that?

I know people who are PhD in Physics and at the same time are experts in agriculture.

I know computer scientists who are great poets or actors at the same time.

So why can't a doctor in medicinal chemisty be an expert on Mohandas Karamchand?

^ He can be an expert - as long as he has the credentials for it.

Just having a PhD in medicinal chemistry does not make him an expert on Gandhi.
