I was one of those girls... but for a year now I've done a 360 degree turnaround. I am so happy being single, and enjoying my life so much - although I'm in my late 20s I feel very young. It's also largely because I finally got a job I love and want to build my career. My parents have stopped pressurising me, and I have an amazing group of friends. sigh life is good AH :)
