Catty, I've found that to be true of most people, not just men. When I take my boys to the doctor, when I speak to teachers, when I talk to anyone other than family....they hear "stay-at-home Mom" and assume I'm barely literate lol! My husband respects and appreciates what I do so thats really all that matters to me - I'd not want it any other way but it does get annoying sometimes kwim? I left a lucrative career so that I could be home with my boyz and people just dont have respect for that role anymore. Or at least the level of respect that it used to have.
