Why do guys NOT like it when a girl and/or girls call them bhai etc…is it like a guy code, bharam/ego thingie? At first i was like probably its because a guys likes a certain girl so he doesn’t want her to call him brother but now its like even the guys who have girl friends not like it so yea…WHY is it so? guys please be polite and answer the question honestly…while girls tell me what they think is the reason behind this attitude…

maybe its not the guy but teh girl who is calling him a bhai.
its like a complete drunk dude or a nerdy loser calling you a buddy or pal in public u know..u just dunn wanna be associated with riff raff

I only call 3 or 4 people on here bhai, that’s cos i have an inkling that they’re older than me… call me old fashioned but i think it’s being respectful…

^same here. I just call a handful of people with the bhai/behn/mamo/baji/api thing. I give them respect just like I would in real life.
for eg. TLK mamo, Nikky mami, Sajal api, COCO baji, etc etc etc
i dont know why it bothers most of them...i have a habbit of sayin bhai and yaar...lol surprisingly they r ok with yar but itches them rolleyes

Because you are female and there is always a possibility we can get in your pants. If you start calling us bhai, it ****s that possibility up completely.

I am trying to think of possibilities and one could be that some see the use of bhai as a formality and prefer being addressed with a first name only. I don't mind the use of bhai but lean more towards use of first names.

But erm, I think they don’t like it because they’d feel like they’d have extra responsibilities of being looked upon as a brother and they know they wouldn’t do justice to them, like they would with their real sister/s.
Personally, I don’t bother.. I have enough brothers Alhumdulillah 
Sister word actually means some thing to guy.
When girl say it, they mean "no possibility for romantic relation"
But for guys it means more. Like respect/protection/responsibility and stuff.
SO we are happy with the sisters GOD gave us. AND NO MORE!!!!!!
Unfortunately I can't help you answer that question since I myself have absolutely no problem with girls refering to me as "bhai".
