That is your opinion, and I think everyone should respect that, because it is a big decision to make. However, it would only be prudent to admit that men who do the same, i.e. not desire a wife with a long list of boyfriends are also entitled to their opinion. Making sweeping generalizations like 'there are no clean men left', or men are 'unforgiving creatures' or' blaming them for women having prior relationships' is a tad too much.
Trust me, I am not one of those guys who'd come out here and defend the oppression of women and always support their right to marry whoever they like, but lately I've seen a very negative and unappealing vibe about men on this forum by the majority of the female posters here.

I didn't even talk about the topic of the thread. I don't speak for anyone but myself, but I value honesty more than chastity. If sleeping around is immoral and forbidden (for the religious lot), then so is lying. Past relationships are a thing of the past, and everyone makes mistakes in life and we should be more humane and understanding about it. Lying on the other hand is no different from repeating the same mistakes again.
Hence, it shouldnt matter. One's relationship or marriage based on lies might work, but deep down in his/her mind, he/she will have to live with a big lie. Their consciousness will continue to haunt them, especially if they have a very nice and understanding partner.
