Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

maybe we could try making some form of fighting skill mandatory for our mo-folks. who knows? would a *****-fight be part of that list?

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

what are Mo-folks... if you dont mind me askin?

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

HoMo :D

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

what's worse on the sin scale here? being a homosexual muslim or being a muslim that smokes or drinks or prays to idols or marries a nonmuslim without converting her/him or doesn't practice hijab.... what's worse or all are pretty much the same sin level. i might be mistaken here....apologies if i am

i mean a homosexual muslim could be the kindest, strictest most religious muslim out there that observes salat 5 times a day, observes zakat, fasts when he/she needs to, doesn't eat pork, doesn't drink/smoke, even hopes to do the pilgrimage to haj one day, observes hijab but just happens to be a homosexual that doesn't want to ruin the life of a heterosexual muslim by marrying them just b/c society says so

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

How could a gay person be the most strictest, most religious muslim? God has clearly stated the act of homosexuality is forbidden, if they are not following that then they cant be. I think you are assuming every muslim will go to heaven when that is not the case, the muslims that do not act in accordance to Gods laws will be dealt with.

Every person is tested, if a muslim truely believes he/she is gay and they will not treat their husband/wife in an Islamic manner, its simple they should not get married, they should live their life as a single person and not engage in sexual activities with the same sex.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

^^^so if a muslim smokes(very haraam) or drinks they won't go to heaven either, nor will they if they don't pray 5 times a day, never donates to charities.....how many muslims pray five times a day every single day? and i've seen muslim chain smokers, they are sinning like crazy, but don't muslims say that ultimately it's Allah that will judge and it's not the place of any other muslim to judge who is a good or bad muslim....it's the same with homosexuality too, Allah will be the final judge

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

God forgives what ever God chooses to forgive, but we as humans are not in a position to change/inovate Gods laws to suit people who do not want to follow the laws already in place.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

human behavior is extremely diverse. there is always a possibility of everything.

that gay would believe in everything God has said ... even that God clearly dislikes him ... yet he continues to believe in and pray to Allah because he is confused about himself, sick of society and helpless of his situation. what does this say about him?

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

sarab, i don't think you're understanding what i'm trying to say or maybe i'm just wording it wrong, i'm not saying that muslims should change Allah's laws but how many muslims follow every single tenet strictly? do they themselves follow the five pillars of islam strictly and every single day of their life? some things they can't help like chain smoking or not being able to pray five times a day, i hope you understand what i'm saying.

not too many perfect muslims out there, a homosexual man marrying a heterosexual woman and making her life hell is wrong on so many levels.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

I'm not a scholar, as far as I know it is not a crime to be gay, it's a crime to engage in gay sex. Like I said in the rest of that post, if someone thinks they are gay they should not get married and not engage in gay sex. Afterall marriage is sunnah not fardh and I am sure I read somewhere that it is haram to get married if you know you can not fulfil you marital obligation.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

I think I understand, you are saying that because there are so many muslims not following the rules of Islam that it should not really matter if someone is gay because it's just as bad as someone drinking alcohol or not praying.
I can't speak for every muslim, but to me the Quran is absolute. It outlaws eating pork as it does sodomy so just because some muslims think it's worse to be a sodomite then it is to be a drunk does not make it true.
They are both sins that they will be judged for.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

then his test is clearly the toughest. and if he passes, he should get the best of the afterlife.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

no i'm saying that why not just let Allah be the final judge of a homosexual muslim that prays 5 times a day, doesn't eat pork, d//n smoke/drink, observes zakat, does every single thing that a 'good' muslim must do, striving to always improve himself/herself but just can't help being homosexual and needs somebody as his/her companion in life, Allah might or might not forgive him/her but why can't fellow muslims just let that person live and love and finally let Allah judge.....

anyways, i think i've made my point and i'm just repeating myself now.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

in my personal opinion they would be a true martyr.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

We are letting Allah be the final judge, but the fact remains there is no concept of a same sex islamic marriage, what are we supposed to do? Create one? Innovate our religion to suit a group of people? Why not let women have 4 husbands while were at it, forget about fasting, prayer, charity, lets worship idols aswell. Religion does not change to suit people, people change to suit the religion they want to be a part of.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

Well if he/she does all this - believe me he/she cant be a homosexual - I can bet my life on it ...

This is the beauty of Namaz , it stops you from committing sins !

You wont find a regular namazi , who is alcoholic at same time .. I have never seen something like that in my life !

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

it can stop him from being sexually active, but not go straight ... so the person is still in a sticky situation.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

I second that, I have never met anyone that prays 5 times a day that drinks, does drugs or fornicates etc etc. the only muslims I know that do that are the ones that never pray, the ones that are pretty much muslim by name only.

Re: Why do gay people want religious ceremonies?

Well you get sinned , once you commit it - get my drift ?

If you arent doing it - end of the story !
