I do believe that is the reason uzair. Then again, guess males dont really need to be attractive since regardless of that they can hook pretty girls. Guys are more visual I believe, hence attractiveness of the female gender has enhanced. Girls on the other hand are attracted on an emotional level/monetary level etc etc
Its a myth that women are less visual. Its just that they find very few men visually appealing.
I dont know if you can bring yourself to think along these lines because its difficult to challenge firmly held beliefs, but its more important for men to have good looks in order to attract women. (i dont count money as attraction, sorry).
I have an argument...
Average looking women can easily attract men. Men can easily find the looks and bodies of average looking women visually appealing and arousing. An average looking woman can easily be sexually desirable to men and can easily date and have sexual relationships with a large number of men. An average looking woman can easily have multiple relationships, have an adventurous and active sex life. An average looking woman still gets considerable attention from men.
But for a man to have that same ease of attracting the opposite sex, have the same number of dating and sexual options, have the same amount of attention from the opposite sex, he needs to be genuinely goodlooking. To me Its amazing how this unmistakable reality goes unnoticed and society continues to believe that its more important for women to have goodlooks bcos men are good w/o them.

Just curious. Is this a favorite subject with you (the dynamics of male/female attraction)? Cuz you've brought it up (especially the point of how women need not be pretty to attract men) SEVERAL times.

Working on the bold part, yes average looking women can. If they are selling what guys generally want if you know what I mean. if they give out.

...desi women (a rarity, let me add) end up marrying ugly guys? Normally they wouldn't let such a guy within 10 feet of themselves, but when it comes to marriage they will go for any moving object with a fat wallet. Double standards?
If the question excluded the fat wallet part, then my answer would be "let me ask my wife."

Attraction can come in many forms…I think women have the abilty to look beyond a prospective mate’s physical appearance. I, for one, find men with great personalities more attractive. Where is that ‘older men’ thread?!

why is everyone getting their panties in a twist. it does happen. i was actually gonna blog about this a few weeks ago because of some recent occurrences. one being a guy who is nothing special in the looks department but earning £££ and his wife-to-be literally made my heart skip a beat when i saw her because she's so stunning. and another case of this girl i work with that is only interested in guys that work in banking and can take her to expensive restaurants and for weekends away.

I'm waiting for the comments about how they probably have great personalities and women are interested in more than just looks.... yes, they are interested in having a nice house, expensive things and holidays!
