Statistically we do better academically than the guys, we tend to get less freedom so are less likely to have lots of relationships before marriage, go clubbing etc. so why are** girls ** apparently the ones who don’t ‘turn out well’ being born and brought up in the West?

Okay there was a time when this thing used to bother me A LOT. Sometimes, it still does.
But reality is...most of these people either want to or will eventually migrate to the US, UK, Canada, Aus or somewhere else and their children will become the kind of kids they were once pointing fingers at.
EVERYONE says and thinks "oh, ill do things differently. i wont let my kids do this or that or blah blah blah". But its easier said than done. No one has complete control over the future, much less what kind of choices their kids will make as adults or even as teenagers.
Let them live and learn.

there are a lot of desi bashing threads too...I personally hate people who actually look down on others for being ABCD or FOB etc. I've opened couple of anti desi and anti abcd threads in past just to experiment and I feel most ABCDs are too harsh and too defensive. There are few crazy FOB girls too but most of them are level headed. In short, all this bs about male vs female and abcs vs fobs etc...only fools and ignorant people would fall for it. You don't define people by their place of birth or their gender (to a certain extent you do but all this mud slinging is just way too much). Anyway...I'm outta here.

They do get defensive and harsh. I think its because they're tired of the negative connotations associated with where they were born and the automatic assumptions about their upbringing. Like our parents abandoned us when we were kids or something.

The view of bad reputation of ABCD girls is coming from ABCD people themselves. How many times have we not seen an aunty/uncle/elder sister going to Pak to find a rishta for her son/bro and when you ask her why she is going back, she says "yahan ki ladkiyan achi nahin" .. The only thing the dear aunty/uncle/sis is forgetting is that they have daughter themselves who is among "yahan ki ladkiyan" ..

The accent is not something that's really ever bothered me. I don't know what the big deal is...my parents have accents too.

I have seen ladies brought up in Europe, probably not born, who have these views. When you ask them about their daughters/sisters, their response is "wo toh aisi nahin hain, baqi sub hain". Regardless of it, my point is that its people "among us" who has created this image of ABCD girls.

bcs they think we r too much i for indepedent thinkers and badtameez .. speaking our mind telling the truth can be seen as rude .. i think its more about western thinkng qualities which we possess not about being bad or good that makes us seem that we are not good
